Arkalem
Hey guys...I'm very interested in using the F3 engine to do some stuff. Problem is, I don't want any of the F3 geography. I want to use the art files, but erase the world. I know back in the oblivion days, this was done with a blank ESM. Does something like that exist these days? thanks! spderweb
I'm fairly new to all this, but based off what i've seen in the GECK tutorials, you should be able to wipe clean everything in the game no problem and start from scratch. I'm guessing though that you'll need to retain something in vault 101 though.

skojolt
you don't need to wipe anything really, just create a new world-space and start the players origin quest there. Look up the oblivion world space tutorials out there, the tools are just different subversions of the same app. Even a TC is a plugin (unless you literally want to rewrite every piece of the master file database, it would take you months of full time work to do so) since the master file is there you might as well use the already made weapons/armor/props/AI/etc... I wanted to do something similar for a 'tribal' parallel adventure but the terrain auto-generation drawing tools are giving warped results and I got frustrated trying to draw it all by hand. I think they used all RAW height-map images to create fo3 and let the rest of the tool waste away. I suppose you could try creating the exact RAW format required by GECK (probably not too hard) and paint a nice landscape. It's probably the fastest way if you use painter or some other natural media art app.
Arkalem
Thanks Sko. I honestly think this is where I'll go. The mod I'm trying to create will end up being very small geographically (It's essentially a single large hotel and about 1 sq mile of surrounding area.) At least as a demo to prove to myself that I'm capable of it, this is what I'll do.
