numberland Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 So, I have a mod with a grand total of 8 versions (2 varieties x 4 possibly DLC combinations), how best would I upload this? Currently they have different filenames - do I want to do 8 different versions with different versions of readme (possibly just "this readme was downloaded with x version") or is there a better way to do this and still allow it to be downloaded with the mod manager?
ArtMurder Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Just make one mod, and upload each main version as separate main file, and each DLC as an optional file. My mod is similar, it has 2 varieties, and 4 options for each, see. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/32972/ Pretty easy really.
numberland Posted March 13, 2013 Author Posted March 13, 2013 Hmm, so the main files would have all of my meshes etc in and then the optional file would be the actual main mod file for each version? Hmm, that could work well, thanks.
ArtMurder Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Yes, you can set it up however you think works best! I've seen mods with dozens of files, so I don't think you have to worry about hitting a limit.
