CBBE Body arm seam and broken forearm.

So I've been troubleshooting RaceMenu presets due to mods interfering with their sculpts and what not and have fixed that completely.

 

But... now I'm having another issue, this time with wrist/hand seams.

^ this is the hand seam, but it's more like a gap. It also seems to deform the forearm a little bit or something along those lines, like, make it look a bit longer, maybe? It's hard to explain, but it looks extremely awkward than it did before I had the issue.

 

I've made sure I have everything properly ordered and what not and the things I want overwriting other things are correctly placed (I think). I have LOOT to sort the load order, of course, and I'll supply said load order and MO2 mod list down below. I've done everything from both building the hands and body that I want (CBBE 3BBB body with a preset called Aphrodite 2 or whatever, I have no f***ing clue what I'm supposed to do with hands and feet aside from build them, which I made sure to do twice just in case.), but the seam still persists to be a problem. I've also made sure that the body types I've selected from every body-altering mod is on the curvy preset. The only change in options is the normal maps and specular maps but that doesn't cause a problem.

 

I've tried to change the sliders in RaceMenu after building the morphs/batch building but the problem persists. The seam only occurs when I am not wearing gloves, not particularly when I am naked. Also: there are no feet or neck seems, I've already checked. It's only with the hands and I've tried every little fix people have proposed to other users' posts. I've also checked to make sure there wasn't anything overwriting any of the body mesh files that I'm using, and there's nothing but Eye mods and others like Expressive Face Gen Morphs and what not.

 

The only other possible cause for both issues was me using the presets in Racemenu, but I've already tested both with and without a preset loaded into facegen. I've also fiddled around with different BodySlide presets, but the hand gap/seam remains.

 

It's like the hands aren't being changed at all even after building the hands after I build my body in BodySlide. I'm lost and I need help.

 

The issue, also, happens with and without clothing/armor on. It only seems to be fixed or hidden when I wear gloves, but the thought of it being there stops me from playing.

Technically, hands are added to the body as separate parts. That makes them prone to gaps and seams. I've occasionally seen these seams with CBBE bodies, too.

 

What you can try:

- make sure you got the latest version of CBBE

- use Bodyslide to build your body AND also the hands.

Every single gap/seam problem I've ever had was fixed with BodySlide and/or OutfitStudio, and I use CBBE. This may be a silly question, but I didn't see the response in your post so... did you batch build all of the outfits after generating the body? It sounds to me like you didn't build the outfits. Batch Build + check the Build Morphs box after generating the body you'll be using.

I've noticed that the "weight" of a preset can also create seams if it differs from the body you've generated. I don't know why that's a thing, but I've noticed adjusting the weight in RaceMenu did, in fact, affect the wrist seams. Make sure you build everything with the same exact settings. You can always adjust it with CBBE Morphs in the RaceMenu.

If BodySlide can't fix it, then there's a mesh problem/mod conflict. Load SSEEdit and Apply Filter for Conflicts or use MO2 to see what is conflicting. LOOT is great and super-effective, but not a replacement for managing your LO. It's a supplementary tool, but you should check behind it.

If you find no conflicts in meshes, then disable all of your mods that have nothing to do with body/armor. Load up your game and make a note of the state of it. If it is fixed, then another mod is interfering. If not, then, remove a mod (or 5, or 10, or whatever) and rebuild your BodySlide body files and batch build outfits and load up your game. Keep doing this until your problem is resolved. Once you load up your game and find the problem resolved, then the mod you removed was the the culprit. If you removed more than one mod at a time, say, 5 or 10, and the problem is fixed, then the logic is the same; one of those mods is your culprit. Re-enable the 5 or 10 (or whatever #) and do the same process 1 by 1 'til you find the mod that was responsible.

Yes, I've built both my body and my hands afterwards but it hasn't changed anything. As of right now I think I've found the culprit that has been overwriting the meshes and maps for the body, which is Botox for Skyrim SE. I'll see if that fixes the issue or not. It has already fixed the issue with the hands and feet looking strange as well as my characters' body not having the assets of Fair Skin Complexion and Demonaic.

Now, the texture issue is fixed but the seams remain. I want to open up SSEEdit and do what I gotta do but... I'm not really sure what to do after I open the tool up.

If it's an overwrite problem, why not try to load "Botox for Skyrim SE" higher so that it is the mod that is being overwritten? (Generate all BodySlide again)

I did, I put it before CBBE and all of the other textures. Also, in-game it looks... really weird. Like my character's forearms are being stretched out to be longer. In FNIS after I reinstalled the skeleton I'm using (XP32 Maximum Skeleton Special Extended with Fake physics), I checked the harm skeleton fix patch but it doesn't appear to do anything to that, either. I'll try doing it without the patch this time to see how it looks.

Okay, so I think it's just me being nitpicky about caring too much, honestly. It's such a small thing and barely noticeable, like a change in colors, or like the hands don't have subsurface scattering like the body does. That's probably what it is now, actually. lol.
