Flame Projectile Retexture...

God forbid if this has been asked before... I looked... really hard >_<

 

Anywho. I created a unique flamethrower, which is supposed to hurl a blue flame rather than orange.

 

I cloned a flamer. I changed the base stats, and created a new projectile.

 

I have the new flamer set to use the new projectile.

 

Apparently the projectile uses to .nif files. One for the muzzle flash, and one for the actual projectile.

 

I used FO3Archive to extract the proper meshes and textures.

 

I modified the textures in GIMP, and adjusted the meshes in NIFSkope accordingly. They were given unique names.

 

I have everything set (that I know of) in order to make this 'work.'

 

Yet it doesn't.

 

In NIFSkope, the muzzleflash.nif shows up blue, as it should. In game, I do not see it.

 

The actual projectile still shows up orange.

 

I've checked the texture settings in the .nif, and the .nif settings in the projectile.

 

Everything is right, as far as I know....

 

I even tried setting the projectile .nif to the muzzleflash .nif to see if it would work, it does not show. Entirely invisible.

 

Any help would be much appreciated, as, I've worked on this for well over sixteen hours and all I've ended up with is a migraine >_<
