Danfrombackhome
ive only been using mods for a bit and not really dabbled in how to do a whole lot and usually would give up if something wasnt working right. First question, can I use the bodyslide studio to edit preexisting armors and clothes and any good tutorials out there for doing that? Second question, I am trying to use killer keo's skimpy armor mod for cbbe and its not seeming to work at all and messes up other mods. My question is, is there another mod that is similar to this that does the exact same thing and is for cbbe as well? I saw that there was the original one, then a version 2-3 then a bodyslide conversion mod. I used all three. It worked one time but was super glitchy so I turned it off. Tried again and nothing. Any help would be appreciated! Edited December 20, 2020 by Danfrombackhome

First question, can I use the bodyslide studio to edit preexisting armors and clothes and any good tutorials out there for doing that? Look for armors that come with bodyslide support. Nowadays, most new armors have this option. There's also a bodyslide conversion of all the vanilla armors for CBBE, which is included in CBBE.Changing armors is rather easy: Start bodyslide, create or choose a preset. In the "groups" drowpdown menu, check everything you want to change, then press "build". There are instructions and AFAIK even a tutorial video on the bodyslide mod page. If you want to convert armors without bodyslide support, you would have to do some work in outfit studio. It's doable, but not that easy. Unfortunately I don't have a really good tutorial at hand. Any help would be appreciated! The bodyslide conversion is for the original version. Only use that and the conversion. You shouldn't use version 2-3 then. I'd suggest trying this first. Maybe it will already solve your issue. If you want something similar, there's the "Book of CBBE":https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/13023 Follow the description here - you need to install the original mod for the UUNP body first and then partly overwrite it. Algabar
Basic rule: If you want to be asbolutely safe, don't change your mod setup during a playthrough. Adding new mods is often okay. If in doubt, refer to the mod's description. Removing mods (especially ones containing scripts) is definitely not recommended. You can mess up your save game with this.. Adding the "Book of CBBE" definitely can be done. I've done this myself without issues. You might run into NPCs that have multiple armors in their inventory, but that's about it. Not so sure what happens if you change your setup regarding Keos: AFAIK it's basically a mesh replacer. This should be okay. Maybe some NPCs might loose parts or all of their armor nonetheless. I guess that's about the worst thing that could happen (and not very likely).I'd say: Try and see what happens.
