Silbergrimm
Hello, and sorry if this is in the wrong section. But I have encountered a little problem after a little modding and it seems I can't get rid of it. The vampires I encountered (even as random encounters) did not attack me nor fight back when attacked. After a rather lengthy check of my mods I decided to purge them and reinstall the game after a purge of my harddrive... but still, now even in my newly installed game without mods the vampires won't fight... Has anyone encountered a similar problem and found a solution? Thanks in advance for your help
anjenthedog
I encountered a similar situation with Bandits sometime last year. In the end, I had to load an old save from before the problem began to occur.
Algabar
Probably a mod issue. Without a load order, we can't offer help in detail. Did you try with a completely new game? A lot of data gets baked into your save games. This would explain why the problem persists even on a "vanilla" setup. Maybe a mod you used before changed some "faction" entries or other settings regarding vampires. You might have some settings in your save that vampires regard you as one of them and therefore refuse to fght you or something like that.
Silbergrimm
Yes, I suppose it was a mod problem, but I made very sure that there were no files and data left before I reinstalled the game. Right now I play an unmodded vanilla setup completely free of any modded content... funny enough, I started to encounter vampires who fight me, but most of them still die without even producing a weapon. It seems to get more confusing by the session... makes it a bit fun... I'm sorry I can't reproduce the loading order or even a mod-list (mostly because I lost track of what mods I had :D -> sincere thank you and job well done to all you modders out there! I' 99,99% sure the problem occurs because of a mistake I made)
