I just started playing modded Fallout 3 and I'd like to be able to use a bullet time mod that works with an XBOX 360 controller.

I've heard someone mention a mod that removes Vats and uses the same controller button to activate a sprint mode. And I came across a mod that improves Fallout Wanderers Edition while using a controller, but it lacked a bullet time fix. I can't find much other info that isn't years old.

For some reason my game gets heavy Vats lag so It would be great if I could replace Vats completely with a bullet time mod acvtivated from my controller.

Thanks for any info.

I use xpadder (www.xpadder.com) for mapping a bumper to send the B keystroke. It works great. The only problem is that in the game you can't disable what th controller buttons originally do, so you either have to disable VATS (and map bullet time it to that bumper) or map it to the "grab" button (a little inconvinient but it works).

The best solution would to be to disable the third person button and map bullet time to that, but I can't find a way.

I belive it could be done with a script & FOSE.

Thanks for the replies.

When you mention having to disable VATS ... is that just done with xpadder (overwriting the previous button function) or do I need another mod or method to effectively disable VATS?

You need a mod or a method. Xpadder won't overwrite it. If you don't disable it xpadder will trigger bullet time and the game VATS at the same time.

BTW, you can use xpadder to map FWE features to the d-pad ... you can't use them for hotkeys after that, but it's better than nothing.
