urboyfriend
what is the best combat mod in skyrim? people say deadly combat is the best, is it true? Edited March 16, 2013 by urboyfriend
mindw0rk2
Best is when you combine several mods to make combat suit for you.I use Combat Brutality, Locational Damage, few TK mods like TK dodge and TK recoil, enemy AI mod and several others tweaking things like bow sound and blood textures. Some prefer Duke Patriks but it didnt work for me. Edited March 16, 2013 by mindw0rk2
menawati
Probably combining them to suit you is best as the person above said but if you are just going to use one I'd recommend 'Duel - Combat Realism'.It puts a lot of emphasis on blocking, fights are more lethal, arrows really hurt you. It might feel like it has made the game easier at first when you meet basic weak enemies because weapon damage is 20% higher but as the game progresses the changed combat mechanics which rely more on stamina really shine. Basically if you invest in block and stamina you will be able to take on very dangerous enemies successfully if you play it right but if you slip up you are really in trouble fast, fights become more intense and really get you sweating. Also NPCs AI is changed and they work together, use potions etc. I've had a lot of fun using that mod on master with some epic fights that were actually pretty dull when played on vanilla.
