Skyrim crashes at the beginning

Hello together!

I just reinstalled Skyrim SE and also installed some mods.
My problem is that when I start a new game, the game crashes the moment after the dialog on the cart starts.
Even if I deactivate all mods and start a new game, the game crashes at the same point.
I have also tried with the mod "Alternate Start - Live Another Life", but there happens exactly the same. Even if I select the option "leave this cell" and I open the door out to Skyrim, the game crashes.

Since I have no idea where the problem lies and how I find out what is responsible for it, so my question now is to you, can you find out at all and if so, how?

If you want me to upload any files that will help to solve the problem, I will do it, you just have to tell me what you need.

Thankfully, I've never experienced the issue myself, although based on the number of posts/articles I've seen over the past 2 years, it seems to be a very common glitch/bug/whatever, so you're not alone,,,

But here I think it is not only a cart crash. Because if I choose another start option with "Alternate Start - Live Another Life" and my character leaves a house or a city and enters the open world the game crashes as well.

Is there no tool that can somehow read out the cause of the crash?

Logging the events of an unexpected termination of a program is far different than logging the load of a mod or other resources.

 

Afaik, while you *might gain some clues from the log files, at least in my reading of those logs, virtually everything is associated with "boot config" ie, instantiating a given mods content, rather than realtime monitoring with the goal of capturing a crash.

 

In other words, while I can't say there isn't one (I'm just a 2-yr skyrim player), from decades of programming, tbh I don't think such a tool exists.

 

As far as Live Another Life.... I had nothing but bad luck with that mod. If I spawned in Solstheim, I couldn't get back to the mainland. If I spawned somewhere on the mainland, I either couldn't fast travel or I'd crash when I got too near to any city. I dumped it as a result.

 

I know many like LAL. it didn't work for me. (maybe some other mod contention, idk). That *may be your case. I don't know.

 

Push come shove, uninstall it and start a new game in the "normal" fashion and see how it goes. Aside from "normal" glitches and other "normal" skyrim problems, My game worked just fine once I pitched Live Another Life.

I have now tried to install a new game and have previously uninstalled LAL, but as I thought, it is not LAL.

I would have been surprised, because in other guides about crashes in the cart scene it says that LAL should fix it.

LaL does not fix it as really fix it. It just gives you a way to avoid it caus vanilla start is heavy scripted. Something most bigger and scrpited mods tend to destroy.

I would rather disable all your mods except LaL. start from there and try if it works fine. Then enable a couple at a time, start your game play a little and so on. Its annoying but the easyest way to figure out what causes the crashes. If LAL does crash on its own i would suggest maybe Realm of Lorkhan, another LaL Mod but a little different.
