The vision, though it only lasted an instant was burning in my mind. What were all these visions of seemingly hell on earth, was something from an outer realm playing tricks on my mind? Where does Piet fit in? Just what the hell is happening to me?

While pondering these questions the frightening image let up in my mind again, it was as clear as if it was a photograph, then something about it struck me. In the image i spotted Piet's letter lying on the floor, only there where now flaming red symbols covering the letter i did not understand. In my mind i saw it burst into flames and burn a hole in the rug, dissapearing into the floor.

The image was gone again. I went to the rug and lifted it. On the wooden floor under it was carved a symbol, one i recognised from the vision, one that appeared on Piet's letter. I knocked on it in fury of what was going on; it sounded as if there was a hollow space beneath it. I checked the rest of floor where the sound was not present. There is a hole there! Examing it closer i found seems in the floor that should not be there. I took my crowbar from the storage room, and tried to see if i could open it up.
