Redbeard007
I am running the Ultimate Edition of FNV and have quite a lot of mods running at the present time. My problem is a minor one most of the time but I would like to find and fix the mesh issue I am finding. Is there a program that would actually check and provide a fix for mesh problems? If not, then how would I find the mesh problem to fix it? My mesh problem is that various NPCs have the red triangle and the white exclamation point surrounding them making them harder to target when trying to aim and shoot them. Also, a few other places around the map such as a table beside Doc Mitchell's front entrance shows a similar red triangle with the white exclamation point as well. I have used FNVEdit program to find my major problems but I am not well versed enough to use it to find this issue that still persists. Please help. Xaranth
That symbol means the game cannot find a mesh. This is a sign of one of three problems. A) A Mod was not installed correctly. - There are various ways to determine which mod it is. The simplest is probably to use the NVSE command 'GetBaseObject' on one of the items displaying the 'missing mesh' symbol, note the mod index, and figure out which mod is being loaded at that index. B) Archive Invalidation isn't working properly. - If using FOMM or NMM, toggle Archive Invalidation OFF, and then ON again. If using AII, find someone else to help you. C) Too many plugins loaded. - There is a well-known engine bug which prevents the game from properly addressing more than 139 plugins beyond the FalloutNV.esm plugin. Get those plugin numbers down. Redbeard007
I found my problem(s). It turned out that I had two similar mods installed and one of them was the problem. I uninstalled the two mods and reinstalled the one I thought was the best of the two and it worked. My game is now free of the mesh problems.
