TheOutlander
Looking for opinions on my new Lyon's Pride Armour re-texture (I wanted them to stand out compared ordinary BoS guys). Armour colours inspired by Dai Shi's Lion Spirit Armour. The armour will eventually end up as an armour set (Helmet and Armour) replacement mod for the members of Lyon's Pride. Baelkin
While I think the color scheme pretty good, and certainly stands out, it just doesn't strike me as very "Lions Pride" 'ish. I'm imagining the Lions Pride as a covert ops unit, which would imply a color scheme that'd allow them to blend in with the environment and sneak around in the wasteland rather than something that literally jumps into your eyes. :) I think I'd stick them in an urban camo Power Armour with special unit decals rather than make as radical a change in color scheme as this, though that's just my personal opinion. ;)

As for Spec-Ops forces, I believe they tend to operate in small units behind enemy lines, clearing the way for the main force unless they are on a special mission to take down specific targets in assasination or capture/interrogate style missions. As far as I know, Spec Ops doesn't necessarily mean "sneak around in the dark, knifing people in the back and detonating their pants with C4", which the comments about Gallows certainly points at, but considering that they are the only BoS that you really get to see in action their "style" could be anything... however if it was an entire devision and not a small elite unit used for non-standard operations, I don't really see why it was necessary to designate them as a special group apart from the rest of the brotherhood present. Just seems we have differing opinions on the subject of the Lions Pride. :D
dexxtaa
im with the shock trooper impression. i was thinking, though, that the entire unit would have uniform colors but with different color schemes. but on the color scheme as a whole, i tihnk that the lyons pride should be obvious. they give me the impresssion that they want the enemy to see them even as specks on the horizon, so they run screaming. **personally since theres wordplay on "lyons pride" i tihnk a tiger stripe design is a good idea, maybe on the shoulder guards ?**
jsnider193
Looks nice to me, can't comment on the pride as they didn't show up when I hit the NCR area ... no idea what happened to them, but the impression I got was heavy armed clear the area troops not sneak and poop types. VinnyBlood
Nice retexture. They're definatly not a covert unit: hulking around in those power armor suits. I guess it's safe to assume that any BoS covert operatives would wear the recon armor. That said though, the orange just doesn't seem right. No matter the setting, operation, or type of armor I'm wearing I certainly would not want it to have a large orange target painted on my shoulder. It's just not cricket, chaps. This isn't Warhammer 40k, most of the military units you see wear dark colours throughout the Fallout universe. Still, looks good. Nice work. SaintJames420
I really dig the color. I think it fit's it. I think of them as at the front of a fight. And they want you to know who killed you and why!
Leadpipe
I can dig it. It actually looks pretty sweet, and I really like that it looks like the armor is getting some care. It always struck me that the BoS, supposedly the cultural descendants of the US military, would let their equipment remain in anything but top shape. My only objection would be that the color scheme is too far a step apart from the rest of the Brotherhood. I like the color scheme, don't get me wrong, but it feels wrong in the context you're putting it. It might work better for an elite Outcast unit, though.
