HeirOfTheSeptims
Does anybody know how to do this? WaterType has settings for fog amount and fog near/far but doesn't seem to have a setting for color. Where is it getting the brown tinted light grey that its using? That's not the fog color set for my interior, nor is it any other color that I've set for the water.
maxarturo
If you mean the underwater visual refraction, or otherwise the murky feel that some water activators have, this is done through the 'Imagespace Modifier' that's applied to it, but it still needs a combination of settings in your water type to achieve a realistic result. Keep in mind that players who are using ENB won't be able to see this or any 'Imagespace Modifier' applied by your mod, the ENB tool disables completely the use of 'Imagespace Modifier'. HeirOfTheSeptims
No, I mean the literal fog in the water. The two planes used to limit your vision. Just like a cell, water has its own fog "near" and "far" settings, which are used while you are under water. Unlike a cell I can't find any way to modify their color. Even with a very dark imagespace used it gives me a light brownish grey for the fog. I need it to be pitch black, so the light color really doesn't work. maxarturo
"I mean the literal fog in the water. The two planes used to limit your vision" Everything that is related to the water activator 'Underwater Visuals' are all handled ONLY by 'Imagespace Modifier'. All the data that is in the 'Water Type' will handle only the how you see the water from above and not inside of it.
maxarturo
Wait, i just remember (it's been quite a while), there should be an "Above Water/Under Water" - Fog Amount - Fog Distance > Near Plane - Fog Distance > Far Plane. And the fog color is set by the depth water color, but still the underwater fx you see in most water activators is achieved by using 'Imagespace Modifiers'. HeirOfTheSeptims
I see "Depth Properties" with: reflections, refraction, normals, and specular lighting sliders. I can't find "Depth Water Color", is it somewhere else?
maxarturo
If i remember correctly it's the first tab, 'Color Settings'. Although i do remember that it's a little tricky and it took me some time to figure out how the 'water types' actually work, it needs some trial and errors to get there. HeirOfTheSeptims
There's "Deep Color" under "Color Properties" but that's currently set to black, and I'm pretty sure that its the color of deep areas of water when you look in from outside.
