Job4aCowboy Posted March 18, 2013 Share Posted March 18, 2013 Hey, I just installed Skyre, and now I have this problem The font in some places is all messed up, I checked around and it seems to just be the skills menu and the Frostfall MCM Config Menu. Anyone know how to fix this? Its making the game quite unplayable. Fyndolyn Posted March 18, 2013 Share Posted March 18, 2013 This crap happened to my Skyrim after I clicked on TESV.exe to check my settings, and it tried to ninja load 1.9 even though I have Skyrim set to NOT update. Now I can't get this fixed. Correction - I fixed this by replacing the TESV.exe, Update.bsa, Update.esp and Skyrim - Misc.bsa with an earlier version 1.8...I have heavily modded and have been through 3 rebuilds, so luckily I have regular backups. Good luck! Fyn Thanks for the reply, but I re-installed. Was just looking for an excuse to re-install anyway. Needed to get my Skyrim installation out of Program files as that was causing all kinds of problems with UAC. I'm taking the time now to backup everything, and reorder it in an easy to find way, because I have to admit, my PC is messy as anything lol! Myabe you could contact me on priv. :} I totally re-installed it, not sure what the problem was, I had a reason to re-install anyway, so I don't suggest you do it, as I'm still getting the problem. Still getting the problem with Frostfalls MCM menu, but apparently there is an error with NMM were it isn't installing some files properly, so a manual installation is recommended.http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/11163 Read the Authors post at the top of the Posts section. Haven't tried it yet, was getting late last night so only installed half of my mods, but when I do i'll let you know if it worked for me. I've decided not to bother with Skyre, tried installing it before and it didnt work, seems way too much trouble than it's worth. What exactly is the problem your getting, Is it just with certain menus like in the pictures I posted, like when you installed a mod such as Skyre or Frostfall. Or is it a problem with all the text? Yes I fixed that by uninstalling Skyre, haven't sorted out the frostfall menu yet, but that should just be a case of manually installing, as per the authors instruction.
