Fallout 3: How to do Total Conversions?

G'day all. I'm fairly new to modding, this being said i was referred here from another... lets just say less informative FO3 forum, because apparently i might get some real help here.

Ok, what I'm trying to do is make a Fallout 3 Total Conversion. This will include a new story line, new map settings/locations, new NPC's and all that jazz. So I do have a few questions on how to kick off.

My first question is: I obviously need to remove all the quest related NPC's, items, markers etc. that are related to the FO3 story. Is there an easy way to do this in the GECK editor?

2nd: How do i remove the FO3 intro sequence (growing up scenes) and start a new character just plonked anywhere on the map?

3rd: Is there a way to edit the main player/avatar thing so that i can make my 'heros' look pre-defined/un-alterable etc.

4th: If some one could link me to a page on how to make custom interfaces, GUI type stuff, and remove the need for the "Pipboy" and replace it with a more classical pause/inventory/map menu etc, that would be awesome.

I realise there are a lot of things that prolly wont get answered as the G.E.C.K is still reasonably new, and yes ive done all the GECK wiki tuts but they dont really help in this case. xD

Any help you can refer me to would be awesome, thanks in advance!

the GECK tutorials and FAQ pages are nearly worthless except for showing some of the changes since the oblivion editor. If you read the oblivion stuff written by modders and look at the pipboy scripts and npc code you can do all those things.

Oh, lol i didn't even think of that -_-. lol @ me. Thanks mate, ill give that a try.

Also just another thought, it may have been answered in another thread, but is there a way to import Oblivion textures/objects into FO3? specifically im interested in having a castle (proper brick castle, not a ghetto tin shed with spikes) in the middle of the wasteland.

*Update*

OK, from what i can gather, the oblivion editor is very similar to FO3, so i looked around for some tuts and a lot of what i need is covered. Woot! I'm gonna try and create my own "wasteland" world space and see if that works, then just Select all and delete every single location/world space that isnt mine. Hopefully this will remove all the quest starter junk from the beginning of the game. If anyone has a better solution im all ears! =)
