Crashing when saving or entering.

I've been crashing when I enter a building or I have been saving my game, It started happening when I installed the m60 mods and portable camp/target/shack, But I removed all of them and it's still doing it. :confused:

Hey Klous.

 

In my trouble shooting of suspected Mod crashing I always go back to a point where I didn't have the mod installed in my save points and try the exact place where it locks with the mod. Then I test it over and over and over. If it persists, you have to carry on with out the mod.

 

Delete your quick save as well and Auto saves (well don't delete them move them to another location while you are testing so that you get a new save created when entering and exiting buildings.) You could also test this same way with the fallout3.ini file in case that is the problem (which I have never see it as an issue for me) but this seems to be a popular answer to crashing\locking up issues.

 

Let us know how you make out. Or maybe you already did this. if so Sorry.

Hi i have the same problem.

I'd like to give the solution of styxx42 a try but there is one thing bothering me...

I can't even make a new save at all, no quick save and auto save, but a manual save and still the game crashes.

strange thing is that i've had the prob only since today, and i haven't installed mods today, last mods were from 2 days ago and in those two days i haven't had any problems with saving.

I even have tried deleting the mods i installed two days ago, although i don't know what difference it makes since its only from this day beginning to show.

Only when i enter the sat com center (the one on the world map at the very top in the middle) with those three satelite towers i have this problem.

I went inside then i tried to save, not a single save type worked as i said before, then it crashed when i entered the building, then it crashed at start up after i deleted the latest mods installed and disabled all other mods.

So in a way it has gone from bad to worse by trying to solve the problem by deleting mods.

Besides, trying to rule out every mod i got installed is crazy and time wasting work, especially when i got about 50 mods installed and deleting mods only makes it worse.

 

Is there no other solution?
