Skyrim infinite loading screen

While the trick posted here does work, I found a permanent solution. I used CTD and Memory patch ENBoost by Boris Vorontsov . It was posted on his page that infinite loading screens are often caused by fps being too low or too high. Using the file enblocal.ini after installing his mod, I set it to 30 fps. No problems since then.

An enb is not required to use the mod.

wow this is amazing millennia. No really, this has made my load times literally 10x faster and my gaming expereince in Skyrim a heck of a lot more enjoyable. While I was not always getting infinite load times some rare occassions my loading times would be very long. These small ini tweaks you provided have literally made my game feel like I am playing a vanilla version of the game with the load times I receive now. My game is heavily modded as well with ENB, high resolution textures, flora, chatacter, armor, weapons, yaydada (even after tes5 edit cleaning, texture optimization, and load order tweaking) you get the idea .... in other words overloaded game. Load times are super quick even when I choose a save file from the main menu that puts me out in open world (which I previously was unable to do do due to infinite load times). Who knew the world map was the culprit of it.

Awesome find and thank you

Forgive me for butting in here with my own problems,

but considering the nature of the topic and the fact this topic is "hot", perhaps I could get some help from you fine folk.

I'm coping with Inf. loading screens. Not caused by traveling from place A to place B, but from simply loading the game after starting it up.

(In fact, there's no real "infinite loading screen", as the game simply stops responding after a few moments)

I understand fairly little about 'Papyrus logs', which is where I believe one could find the culprit mod.

(yes, I am using mods, quite a few, actually, but I've had little trouble with loading them for the small part that I could play, due to no small part of the intricate workings of ENBoost.)

So, in summary:

- I use mods (loaded via ModOrganizer)

- I'm crashing after loading a game

- I am able to start the game, create a character get through helgen (even if I quit the game somewhere in Helgen keep and then start the game back up), and make it outside.

- I was even able to quit-and-load after making it out "into Skyrim'.

- The problem started after resting at Riverwood and accepting the 'golden claw' quest, which takes place in B.F.Barrow. On my way there I saved, quit and hit the dead-end.

- Halp?

Most recent Papyrus log:

  Reveal hidden contents

My BOSS-log:

  Reveal hidden contents

Any help / hints / suggestions / money would be much appreciated,

and once again my apologies for the hijack.

(Just felt it would be more productive to have similar problems bundled in one thread.)

- X.

Have you tried loading earlier saves, especially a save made in an interior cell (for example, a house or an inn)?

I had this problem just today, and here is how i fixed it - I managed to load an older save in Breezehome, and, using the INI tweaks provided by millenna in this very thread, i performed the `map rotation`. Then I proceeded to load my recent save filed that wasn`t loading (without closing the game! It must be done after loading the map) and everything worked just fine. There is no guarantee that it will work for you too, but please try it.

Edit: As a side note, your papyrus log seems a little bloated. The culprits seem to be companionshousekeepingscript and playervampirequestscript, you might want to look at which mods are adding/moddifying these particular scripts. But as far as I know, the only bad thing these scripts could cause would be performance problems during the gameplay (like needing more memory or causing CTD), and should not interfere with loading unless they are bloating the game save (check if your game saves are too big - they should be around 5mb for a new character and 20mb for an end game character). But if your saves and your game are running fine then there might be no problem. As a last resource you can try deactivating mods until you isolate the culprit. But try loading your save first.

Hi,

I have this infinite loadingscreen problem too...Now its nearly every time i want to travel from Solstheim (DB DLC) back to Skyrim.

Does anyone know a tip for this case?

peAce

see here : http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/32245//?

I mean I have the problem sometimes infinite loading
always in the same places, but the game does not crash it seeks
and round in circles.
(not with solsteim)it seems that some are them , your problem
with the link I gave you
`map rotation 'does not work with me
with
MapMenu]
sMapCloudNIF = 1
is better not always !
have solved it out of a house but not entering a town solitude for me
last bug.
the solution would be to know what the game seeks ?

Heya, thanks for the reply.

As far as the bloated Papyrus log goes, I understood that those 'companionscript' / 'playervampirescript' mentionings were really just that.

Not errors per se, but really just log-entries.

(though, I DO think that there may be a problem with the DLC1perk playerwerewolf whatchamacallit...how to get around that....lawd knows)

However, my next attempt would indeed be to load my vanilla save (which is just before creating my char) OR to load in-doors (IE Helgen keep)

and do....something that I have yet to think of.

With this tip.....I'll just give the map-rotation a whirl. Drastic times, right?

Thanks a lot, I'll get right on that :]

It means you should spin round on yourself so that you see all the map (it will force the map to render all the terrain I think)

that's what I think as well, but I'm not sure how that's supposed to help if you can't even leave the interior you're stuck in to do that in the outside, kind of defeats the purpose, and she seems to be referring to a map menu, and I only know of one map menu and that is the world map. She's saying make a full turn, but I'm not sure how to do that in the map. :\

^_^ Thanks.
