Dyflinn432
''Nords are also natural seamen, and have benefited from nautical trade since their first migrations from Atmora. They captain and crew many merchant fleets, and may be found all along the coasts of Tamriel.'' - Nord Description from Oblvion, Yet the ships in skyrim sit in port and rot. Sailable Ships are already possible:http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/5432But my idea is more than that, i want ships to sail around the coast and have a function example: Dawnstar is a tiny port (dock more like) so it cant handle those huge ships you see in solitude only small fishing vessels (with buyable fish). Where as solitude is a thriving trade port with huge ships like imperial cogs (based on The Katariah) and Nord ships docking which lets players buy rare ingredients and items from other lands like Cyrodil or Hammerfell, But the biggest and most important thing about this whole request is they have to move, not static objects, is it possible to script a ship to stay at solitude then to move and sail along a fixed path (Shipping lane) like a series of way-points out of the map then to wait a few days or weeks in game and then follow that path back?, a man standing at port then acts like a merchant selling that ships cargo. The only problem i can think of is placing NPCs on ships (if its even possible) but its something i could live without. I just think that seeing a large ship sail under the arch into solitude port would be so immersive and cool it would make this mod a must have. ... ....Thoughts?
