Converting a NMM mod for use with FOMM (or help with NMM install paths).

So this mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/70476?tab=posts&BH=0 was posted with only NMM in mind, and as a result the file structure is unfamiliar to me because I use FOMM.

So is there a way to convert this to something that can be used with FOMM OR can someone explain to me the file structure of NMM packages so I can just manually install it? It's not as simple as just matching up texture folders, etc sadly it seems, and again, I've never used NMM.

Cheers.

Found the following:

NMM is based on FOMM (Fallout Mod Manager), at least in part, which uses FOMOD scripts for guided installs.

* "How to package your mod with NMM"

* "FOMM and FOMODs for Dummies 2: Making FOMODS"

If a package has an unconventional folder structure, then you will probably have to unpack to some folder other than in the game, correct the folder structure, and then repackage the archive for FOMM. Looking at the mod package, it appears to be missing the required "parent" Data folders ("Meshes" and "Textures") but intends to create it's own subfolders and place the archive contents there: i.e "Meshes\BonVivantSuite" (for the "*.nif" files) and "Textures\BonVivantTextures" (for the "*.dds" files). At least that is where you have to start.

Okay, I didn't realize that .nif files were you used for meshes. That makes everything click into place.

I put the two folders into the texture and mesh folders, instead of simply in the Data folder, and it all worked out.

Many thanks!
