Drofsned1b
There was a Halo weapon mod that allow you to make the assault rifle, pistol, shotgun, and sniper rifle from a work bench with scrap metal and scrap electronics for a while. Then there was one where you could find various Halo weapons and some spartan armor in vault 34's armory. And then a week ago a mod that had Halo 3 weapons in a crashed Pelican transport NW of New Vegas. But now they are gone. Why?
nivea
Because its illegal to upload ripped content from other games on the Nexus site, you can not post stolen content here and that is what ripped content is.
Drofsned1b
But there are plenty of other mods that have themes from other games that are still up. Besides they weren't ripped from Halo, the mesh file aren't compatible you would have to make the meshes your self.
Drofsned1b
Also they aren't paid to do mods. That is illegal.
SineWaveDrox
Mods that have themes from, or are inspired by, other games are perfectly fine. The mods you are referring to were very likely ripped if they were removed. The mesh files may not be initially compatible, but there are always ways to convert them. In order to have Halo themed stuff legally, it would all have to be made from scratch, without using any resources from the actual Halo games, other than for reference and inspiration. Drofsned1b
Ok, but the crashed pelican one, the modder said he made it from scratch.
DOM1N1ON
Doesn't mean it wasn't ripped. Don't believe everything you see on the internet
nuska
Yup, it's easy to tell apart a game rip and an inspired design, especially to a more seasoned eye. People lie.
