luismgonc
OK. You have the filename.dds and the 1stpersonfilename.dds files. What is the 1stperson one for. It doesn't seem to be used ingame. I replaced it with a solid red texture and nothing. In first person mode it's still using the filename.dds and the dropped item too. Thank you. SpeedyB64
The 1st person textures are for the player views. When you replaced the textures with red did you enter it into the archiveinvalidation.txt? If not than it used the one from the game files, if you did than that is very strange. I know the 1st person textures are used because the other ones are very low-rez.
luismgonc
Actually, let me correct myself. I tinted:filename.dds -> blue1stpersonfilename.dds -> red I only get the red one, only 1st person even in 3rd person view. Also, when dropped, then it goes back to vanilla texture. I need to add a STAT record right?
deliverance6
as far as i know.the low-res ones are for ppl playing on bare minimum settings -like me for example lol. either that or they're just external mipmaps for the main 1stperson ones
