Billyiqbal24
Hi! I have a bit of a problem! I am wanting to create just one standalone horse for a Redguard Rihad knight/horsemen roleplay character I am doing. I want to use the (dark brown) bay horse with saddle from this mod... Oblivion Horses SE at Skyrim Special Edition Nexus - Mods and Community I am currently using Realistic Horse Breeds which I love and I don't want to change all the horses in the game for just one horse I want to use for a character. I just have no idea how to add customer skin, mesh, mane, tail, saddle etc to a horse, I've never used the creation kit before... any help? maxarturo
To use the horse that comes from an other mods is the easy part. - Create in CK your esp - If the mod uses a custom made horse actor, then you need to create your own folder structure and add the actor's mesh in there, example of your folder structure: data\meshes\My Mod's Folder Name\actors\Any Sub Folder if you have any\My Horses's Mesh The same principle applies for textures: data\textures\My Mod's Folder Name\Any Sub Folder if you have any\Your horse's textures - Load your ESP (set it as active) and also load the mod that you want use/copy the horse from. - Duplicate all the horses related stuff from the mod you load. ATTENTION: After you had duplicate and rename all the 'DUPLICATES', all your versions of the horse's stuff must be pointing to your folder structure were you have the mesh and the textures of the horse. - Save and exit > reload only your esp, now you have a horse from the mod you want to use that you can manipulate however you want. "I just have no idea how to add customer skin, mesh, mane, tail, saddle etc to a horse, I've never used the creation kit before... any help? " From what i can understand you have "0" modding experience, and things that you want to do are too specialized to explain them in plain words, because things are not simple as just copy / paste or drag and drop and they require some work and knowledge to achieve them. Plus, none of the things you mention are done in CK, they are all done in external programs. If you are really interested in doing this, then you have the first step already, but after this you'll need to do some extensive research and studying in order to gain the knowledge to achieve them, plus is not something that you'll be done with it in a couple of hours.
