zcul
Smartik1 has received a formal warning. This user has now received 1 formal warnings. The warning was given for the following reason: Entitled behaviourAggressively criticising another member’s content solely based on personal dislikes and unjustified expectations Comments 02 January 2021 - 11:34 AMThis mod breaks VR Werewolf and Vampire Lord forms because VR doesn't allow 3rd person. Werewolf will lose control of the left arm (sticks out to the left of the body) and the camera is blocked by the rest of the werewolf head (looks like your character is stuck inside a werewolf costume as opposed to being the werewolf). Vampire lord will look like a normal person while not having access to any abilities or menus. Can you add a VR patch? The fix is to effectively delete these 2 files: \SkyrimVR\Data\meshes\actors\werewolfbeast\character assets\skeleton.nif\SkyrimVR\Data\meshes\actors\vampirelord\character assets\skeleton.nif ThanksEdited by Smartik1, 02 January 2021 - 11:36 AM. 03 January 2021 - 09:45 PM...and you were just given a VR solution that ensures the mod will work in VR. Where is the problem? Honestly I found out because there was a Reddit thread discussing the issue with this mod in VR and how to fix it. The fix worked for me as well as others. Just leave it as an optional download, in the mod description or as a sticky so other people can go get their solution. Right now there is no warning or a fix. 06 January 2021 - 12:05 AMThat's funny because you basically pretend ignorance is the best solution here. To put it simply: - Skyrim VR doesn't get it's own nexus. The vast majority of SSE mods are actually compatible with it.- This mod doesn't say it is compatible with VR, but neither does it say it isn't. Most mods don't say anything, but are compatible.- This is a known bug and it took quite some time to narrow it down to this mod. Putting a warning about a known bug would have been welcome because VR players do read descriptions and stickies thoroughly, primarily because they are piggybacking off of SSE and there are no guarantees. So yea now that you know this is a problem, it would be nice to add a note so other VR players will see that this mod absolutely will break vampires/werewolves and they should use it at their own risk. I'd appreciate this much more over "I can't test it therefore I'll pretend I didn't see this even though I've been made aware of it". I get that you don't want to post a "dirty fix", but there is no reason not to put a warning (also a dirty fix is better than none). Based on VRIK unique downloads (pretty much necessary for VR players) there are 78k VR players so you can bet quite a few of them will be getting this mod and run into issues because of it. By the way if you read the paths, you will notice the fix only deletes from the vampirelord and werewolfbeast folders, meaning it won't affect compatibility with any other mods, besides potentially werewolf/vampire ones which would have already been broken due to this mod. You can't break something that's already broken and it actually fixes it.Edited by Smartik1, Today, 12:12 AM.
