Riven1978
Anyone know how to change the slides the projector shows? i would really love to be able to take some ingame screens and have them cycle thru on my projector. :) i know silly talk but what better way to kick back and relax then to ease into your chair and watch that hilarious pic of you blasting Eulogies head all over a wall for meddling in on your turf? Any way may only be a pipe dream, but i think i am gonna go play around with the activators and stuff and see what i can come up with.
SpeedyB64
The screen may be an animated texture. That might be a little tricky to work with, but should be fairly straight forward if you don't change the animations.
Rekicker
I got it working for my Desert Dish Studio mod but it was a real PITA man. They aren't animated textures, just regular DDS, but getting the model to accept new textures in NIFSKOPE and getting the damn thing to actually cycle (you have to add a new motion to the model properties) is freaking stupidly complicated. Anyways, just wanted to tell you that it is indeed possible. Now get to work!
Riven1978
Anyways, just wanted to tell you that it is indeed possible. Now get to work! Ha Ha thanx man, glad to hear it is possible i just got through cracking open the bsa file and finally found the buggers, but you are right in the fact that nifskope isnt opening them. I can view them as thumbnails and it looks fairly simple just replace their slide image with a "image" i want. i figure that as long as i am only changing the actual picture and not touching anything else it should work , right? or am i way off the mark? hehe you gotta at least give me the little nudge in the right direction (half the fun is figuring it out). I finally kicked back after about 4 hours working on the damn vault door cause it was having problems opening from one side but not closing from the other or vise verse. come to find out i linked the *censored* thing to a wall and not the door.Oh how bout an update on your desert dish program, still waiting over here *hmm, "Now get to work!" ;D
Rekicker
You can change the images but all that accomplishes is changing the slideshow in the game to something else (which can be annoying to people trying to take the GOAT haha). First of all, you'll want the model for the GOAT slides, not the Vault-Tec slides (the GOAT slides support 10 images, the Vault-Tec ones only support 2 and it cycles one atop another, so that's no good). Secondly, you'll need the appropriate textures (which it seems you already found). Thirdly, you'll need to assign your new textures to a new copy of the GOAT slides model BUT keep in mind that SizedTextString means the number of letters in each texture path is being watched closely. So here's your hint: the "vprojectorgoatslides01.nif" model located in "meshes\dungeons\vault\room" is what you need to be playing with.
Riven1978
Cool thank you I have taken a look at the file and a few nifskope tutorials and must say i am more confused then ever , but this started out as a pipe dream for me so it will have to be content making the "things i want to do" list. And will have to wait till i get a bit more free time to sit and play around with it. I am just glad someone came up and said it was possible so now i dont have to rack my brain on that one, I can spend more time on things people are saying cant be done (or shouldn't, i cant rememebr which)
