I (can't) see dead people

Having a glitch I've never run into in multiple playthroughs. Fairly often when I encounter a spawned dead body--that is, one deliberately placed by the game, such as the pile of victims in Hardware Town or Ada's former companions--all clothing on that body is invisible. Only head, hands, and feet are visible. The real problem is that there is no consistency: it can be vanilla bodies and it can be bodies in a mod, the type of clothing affected isn't consistent, sometimes removing the base clothing restores textures and sometimes removing a specific piece of armor restores textures, in one instance the body didn't even have anything in their inventory but was invisible (the aforementioned HT victims, all dressed but no inventory). This isn't an end of the world glitch; it's just bugging me that I can't track down the cause. I can provide a mod list if that helps. Thanks for any help.
