Shadow issue on dynamic objects in exterior

I'm trying to determine if this is just an engine limitation, clutter items outdoors sometimes lose the shadows cast on them and flicker, I've noticed this behavior with all mods disabled in my load order. This does not include corpses, but fire wood, ingredients, etc. This is on Skyrim VR, however I'd imagine it'd be the same as SE. Is this normal behavior, and is there any fix for it?
