I am unable to download the Deadly Reflex mod

Hello, my name is tuxu and I am trying to download the "Deadly Reflexes" mod.

 

After clicking the "files" tab and picking the file and server I am redirected to the download menu, all seems to work fine when I download smaller files, however, the "Deadly Reflexes" mod (like all files, I presume) have to be downloaded to the nexus-server from a 3rd party and only then passed on to users, like me, and it just might be too big for that system to work properly with all the site members.

 

Yes, I understand all that

but

Due to job\study\family obligations I am unable to wait a whole decade until the server would kindly load the file onto itself, not considering the obvious and acceptable time of download to my own PC.

 

- Is there another download source for that wonderful mod?

 

- What should a man do if he wants to download a big mod?

 

 

I would appriciate any help that would further the goal of a world where every Tuxu has its "Deadly Reflexes" mod.

Maybe I will not benefit from it but for the sake of record and for future reference I'll post a solution that I know for that problem in hope that someone will take matter to his hands and apply it someday.

 

An emailing system that auto-sends to a user a notification of this sort;

 

"Your file is ready for download[100MB] and will be deleted from the server within 16 hours. <link>Please click this link to get it</link>" (a)

 

- or -

 

"Server is currently overloaded, your request has been cued and will be scheduled to <dd-mm-yy> at<hh-mm-ss> and will be deleted from the server within 16 hours from that point." (b)

 

And on the day of download the user will get the first message [meaning (a)].

I was foolish enough not to check my own Internet explorer's settings.

 

My mistake.

 

If anyone else have a problem with downloading big files and read this, check your Internet explorer's security settings instead of pestering honest people... :sweat:

Welcome to TESNexus, hope you enjoy your time here.

 

I think this may be only happening to you, or a recent occurence, as large files are transferred in exactly the same amount of time as small files for me. Deadly Reflexes should be available on Planet Elder Scrolls. Have you tried all three of the servers? (Or more if you are a member)

 

You should probably notify Dark0ne if it is actually one of the servers at fault, I'll give it a go now to make sure.

 

Just a quick thing: DR 5 is currently a bit 'buggy'. There is a working fix for this, available on the third page of this thread. Make sure to make a clean save before using. This fixes the freezing when in combat or using spells. http://www.bethsoft.com/bgsforums/index.ph...eadly&st=40

Just gave it a go from the Texas server, the one I use, and it came through for dl within a couple of seconds. No idea what could be wrong for you.

Had a go with the other two as well, both were exactly the same as Texas. Must be a problem at your end.

the texas server is usually the best and the fastest!
