Invisible head armor?

TLDR:
Could some modder remove the appearance to one if not all head slot items in the game? Maybe jackets and face options as well?

Basically a work around for turning off the appearance for an item but still having it equipped.

 

So, there are a lot of cool cloths in CP, but all of the head options not only kill the look but change most of the hair appearances in the game. You spend all this time choosing your hair and never get to enjoy the way it looks or are constantly unequipping it for photo mode.
Some items you can spawn in, have no appearance in game. There are several, but spawning in the Jump boots Rogue gives you in the normal game have no appearance for me. These are cheated in items of course but none the less it got me thinking, could this be used in a good way?
Is it possible for someone to mod the appearance of items and make them invisible? That away you can still get up to 3 armor slots while seeing your pretty head. My bigger concern for the head here is, making the item invisible if possible might still change your hair, if this is even possible at all in the first place.
If so, someone could also do this for the outer body as well, so you could enjoy just having a shirt or what not without being hindered by a jacket. Maybe for the face as well if you don't like any of the glasses or Brain Dance gear. (I personally like the face options we have).

3 mod slots and some small bonus armor isn't a total killer but it would be so nice to have none the less.
