leniejame48 Posted January 11, 2021 Share Posted January 11, 2021 (edited) i'm not blind or something (perhaps legally), however i'm recovering from a retinal detachment in my proper eye that's gonna be another 6 months likely. so i wear a patch on that eye. my left eye is good enough for looking television and stuff, but i had a retinal detachment 20yrs ago in that eye, so that eye is not the first-class both. difficult to provide an explanation for, i can see, apprehend, but can't read stuff. attempted playing some video games on the laptop because i've f*** all to do, and it's distinctly frustrating with games like gta v, which i used to be stoked to play, because of all of the textual content and stuff it really is on display. the phone, the messages, pointers and hints and many others. i'm gambling on a 55" 1080p tv in my bedroom, and a 50" 4k within the residing room. both setups are about 6' away for seating. lengthy story, every person else imaginative and prescient impaired and laptop recreation? how do you adapt to those issues? are there video games that you know of which can be higher applicable for a person with vision impairment? any advice? could be superb if i may want to increase the font size without ruining the decision of the real game play. thank you for reading, and admire any advice or suggestions. ðð¾ 192.168.0.1 Edited January 13, 2021 by leniejame48 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

toonlinkmods Posted January 11, 2021 Share Posted January 11, 2021 if you want to play something that doesn't require much reading, may i reccomend the souls games? They're easy as hell to play without reading a single letter - also any games where you can increase font is great -and if you can change the INI for text size like @HeyYou says you can, you can probabl do the same in fallout - and if you haven't played new vegas, it's amazing. You could also pick up binding of issac, where reading is not necessary at all, or a few other games. If you're more of a shooter fan, you could play destiny - if you like third person shooters specifically, i know remnant from the ashes is good - it's got tiny ass writing in it, but it's also supremely unimportant to the actual gameplay loop.
