Ensrick
It's actually rather simple to disable killmoves and it shouldn't be too hard to have someone overwrite the blood textures and effects. Then all you need is for someone to remove certain lines of dialogue, skooma dealers and alcoholic beverages from the game, and as you know replace some nasty creatures with something more appropriate. I think having children play the game (after it's made clean) should be no big deal. In fact the 'complexity' Jaradin refers to might be developmentally helpful for problem solving and learning. Not that I condone long hours of gaming for children. That has had a bad impact on my social skills and my willingness to try more constructive, useful hobbies. Hotemochick1992
The only think i could think of would be to maybe create a new world with Skyrim's map and start fresh, At least that way you dont have all of the actors and such. Although it may ruin game play a bit.
Carmelpoptart
The mod "dance of death" has an option to disable killmoves. (im pretty sure) so you could try using this.

I appreciate everyone's input and have looked into the dance of death mod as well. to create a new world of skyrim, what would i need? just the Creator? ponyboy10
Is there any easy way to just disable all enemies/hostiles from in-game? And optionally keep all friendly NPCs? You would end up with a fairly empty world, but could avoid all of the fighting altogether. If nothing else, it could allow for exploration. I've seen mods that would make hostiles not attack (similar to the calm spell), so that could help. I'm not sure how it would affect draugrs and such as a lot of them don't rise until they get up to attack you. In any case, if they are a little too scary, he may find some of the cave environments kind of freaky too with all of the skeletons/dead bodies/crypts laying around. FWIW, I just explored the big dwemer excavation site and found a disturbing torture room as well. On a side note, be careful if you intend to leave the combat it, but just restyle the enemies. Zombie/draugrs and various monsters are one thing, but imagine how damaging it would be if Micky Mouse starts attacking you with a battleaxe, or you have to kill a rabid Dumbo while running through the countryside. :ohdear: Edited March 28, 2013 by ponyboy10
