Can't fix this for the life of me

I tried installing the Dragbody's NPC overhaul mid playthrough, where I got pink heads on unedited NPCs. Then tested in a new game to get the same problem. Tried everything in the Pink screen/textures section in the Troubleshooting guide and I overclocked my GPU and CPU.

I enabled bLoadFaceGenHeadEGTFiles in all ini's in my MO2 and Documents folder

I used Optimizer Textures to reduce my Ojo Bueno and NMC texture pack to lighten the load on GPU.

I looked around and xEdit and there doesn't seem to be conflicts with anything but the particular NPCs that it edits, which I can fix through load order.

I've seen that mods that overwrite inventory make the NPC load in funny, but I have fixed that through disabling and re-enabling them.

Am at a loss here, not sure how to proceed. I'm tried installing FCO to fix the pink faces because I saw it had a patch for it, but it just results in everything that uses FCO to show the missing mesh error

I'm stuck and don't know if I should just learn to use GECK to resolve issues like this.

In which case, can someone link me to an updated guide.

I figured I'd leave it till the next playthrough, but now the pink heads won't leave me alone. I had to reinstall to fix this.

Please see the "Solutions to Mesh -Red Kite- icon or Texture -solid or off color- problems" section of the wiki "Fallout NV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting" article; specifically the "Issue - Fix a missing or solid color texture problem" and "Issue - Pink Screen or textures aka VRAM limitation" entries. Note that if you routinely use the highest resolution graphic assets, you will exhaust video memory faster. See the related wiki "Display resolution versus Image Size" article.
