grogula
I'm pretty new to Morrowind and as such the TES. I've added a house that works and stuff, inserted a new NPC and that type of stuff so I'm not a neeeeeewwb, just not an expert.. There's several NPCs that have nice items that regenerate if you simply "retalk" to them and I want to increase their quantities substantially to avoid this need to "retalk" or "rebarter" with them. I went in and did this, but it had no effect. Is there something I'm missing? And I didn't see an obvious way to add stuff to the NPC I inserted. What am I missing? I've also done several searches but can't find any applicable tutorials.. thanks, tim
Marxist ßastard
Retrieve any personal items you sold to the NPC that you have any intent to retrieve in the future, than open the console and click on him... SetHealth 0Resurrect
grogula
Ok, thanks. Maybe I'm just dense, but that doesn't really answer my question. Will that somehow fix it for the mod in general. I'm trying to create a simple mod for me and a friend so I wouldn't want them to have to do that. Also, I couldn't find a way to add items to an NPC I created. Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks...
Marxist ßastard
If you've seen the changed NPC before (prior to the plugin being loaded), the NPC's inventory must be reset for this type of mod to work. Killing and then resurrecting the NPC is one way of doing this. Alternatively, you can simply make it so that there is no record of the changed NPC prior to the plugin being loaded by deleting the normal merchant and replacing him with one that has a new ID. To add items to an NPC's inventory -- or a container -- you must drag the object from the CS item listing into the inventory listing, in the same manner you would place objects in a cell.
