I'm not sure if this is a bug or if I'm simply not choosing the correct dialogue options, but no matter what I do I simply cannot return Bevin's sword to him. I really want to get the epilogue slide where he becomes a famous adventurer. I've persuaded him to give me the key but no option to bring it up to Kaitlyn presents itself. I reloaded to tell Bevin that I'd talk to Kaitlyn about paying for the sword but, again, there is no option to do so.

Is this a known bug or am I just missing something blindingly obvious?

Mind you, one of the many mods I have installed could have broken it too, though I can't think of any that would other than Immersive Atmosphere. Or possibly the QUDAO Fixpack. They're the only ones I have that should impact Redcliffe, the quest, or the blade in any way.

Is what you call 'Immersive Atmosphere' actually Improved Atmosphere? If so, that plus Qwinn's fixpack is a likely source for the quest breaking, as both mods edit both Kaitlyn's dialogue and the scripting to handle the sword's disposition.

See the documentation for the mods, for the particulars.

Yes, that's what I meant. I was close. That's irritating though, I only have the fixpack in the first place because the description on the Improved Atmosphere page recommended it and I installed it without looking at the description, foolishly believing that they wouldn't conflict. I assume uninstalling the fixpack would only break my game further? I suppose I'm not so far into the game that I couldn't conceivably restart but that would be very annoying.

The recommendation on the IA page is for an earlier version of Qwinn's fixpack (I think it was version 2.0?) that was only available from the old Bioware Social Network site. That's a completely different mod from the current version of Qwinn's fixpack on the Nexus. (Improved Atmosphere was last updated in 2014. The current iteration of Qwinn's fixpack was first released in a beta version in 2017.)

I suspect that uninstalling Qwinn's mod from an ongoing game will probably break your save, but that's a question best asked of Qwinn. (I don't use that fixpack.)

Removing IA mid-game will almost certainly break it.

And if I simply continue without uninstalling anything I would likely eventually run into something a bit more game-breaking. Darn.

Thanks for the help.
