Waterfront crash

For some reason, any time I quick travel to the waterfront my game crashes, and if I quick travel to the goddess store I can take one step before a crash. If I try to get in through normal means it'll crash as soon as I get in the waterfront vicinity.

 

I don't have the slightest idea what could be causing it, so I would really appreciate it if someone could look at my mod order and tell me whatsup, thanks..

General Load-Order Guidelines

Here are the guidelines that I adhere to, personally.

 

~ Unofficial Oblivon Patch should always be first on the list. The fixes are great, but most aren't essential, so if a mod overwrites them its not a big deal, and the fixes have the potential for screwing up other mods if loaded later.

 

~ Offical Content (DLC's) should be loaded last, until you complete all quests associated with them (that includes buying all furniture for the houses and whatnot). Once they're complete, they can be safely moved up in the list. This is especially important for Knights of the Nine, which will have some fairly major problems unless loaded last (unless you get the UOP for KotN)

 

~ Major overhaul mods (OOO, Frans, MMM) should be loaded near the end. That gives you the most complete experience with any of those particular mods. It also lets you carefully choose which other mods to load afterwards... only move mods that you know will conflict and that you want the changes from. For example, I have Improved Soul Gems below OOO because I know that OOO changes the icons of some of the SG's, and ISG needs to be below to show through.

 

Some people will recommend putting larger mods first, but personally I disagree. There are a number of mods out there that make minor tweaks, and loading after a large mod will end up completely overwriting a chunk from one of the bigger mods because of the way conflicts work in Oblivion (even one minor change will take precedence over the entire record... for example, simply tweaking the speed of a weapon can cause every stat of that weapon to be retained to vanilla levels if loaded later).

You seem to have alot of mods that place things in the imperial city, I.E. Armor mods, Appache goddess store, Things like that try deactivating the apache store and then playing ... If thats is not the problem the try looking for any mods that over lap each other ( read the read me on each mods location.) You can troubleshoot by deactivating mods and testing in game over and over... with that list it looks like you will be having fun :-)

Often, a crash like this is from something added by a mod that was subsequently removed. If you put in a mod, then made a save with that mod, Then load the save with the mod no longer present. It can't find the change and may crash.

 

So it may not be in you mod order, but in what is no longer in your mod list.

I think you might have better luck thinking about what Bben mentioned. If you have installed Wrye Bash, all you have to do is click on a savegame in your list and it will show you any mods that are missing from your current list that were present in that save. Makes trouble shooting much easier. If you go the other way of disabling all the mods that modify the waterfront district (don't bother with other mods that alter the IC, you only want to look at mods that alter the cell where you're crashing, after all) then it will take a bit longer and be quite inexact, you could go through all the trouble of turning everything off and still not know the true root of the crash.

 

Avoid saving while you're troubleshooting or make sure you have a good pre-troubleshooting expedition savegame to go back to, otherwise you could end up altering and losing any of those mod items or quests.

 

If you use OBMM you can run it's conflict detector, and note all the conflicts listed that alter the Waterfront District. That will narrow down the mods you need to try turning off.

 

And if you really want to see what changes your mods are making, go download Tes4View and Edit (here on Nexus).

Try disabling all your waterFront mods Such as possibly Farmers Strike back where it puts a basement

in the abandoned house of the waterfront dist. where you can buy Farmtools as weapons.

 

Ive had my game crash Once when fast traveling to the waterfront but ONCE is all.

 

And I only have the above mod with Hash Armor M-16, M-203, Kabar,Camo Armor,Alex Scorpian Armor, Horse Armor, Expert MArksman Oh and I think the Leyawin Bridge mod is what Caused mine

along with the ROWBOATS so I dont check those anymore. the reason I ran these two was for the

No boundaries on Cyrodil ,However there are other ways to remove the boundaries.

Yea I do have wrye bash so I'll try that out first, I also have OBMM but I don't know how to run the conflict detector if you could point me to that, thanks again

Wrye Bash is much better at finding this type of conflict. With OBMM you have to drill down to see just what it is that is conflicting and it takes quite a while with a lot of mods.
