Dwarves and why people have ruined them

So here's the scoop yall: dwarves aren't short.

Whether you believe this or not it's a fact. I don't blame you, really. Dwarves have always been the squat, hearty, bearded men with battle axes. But when it comes to TES it's a misnomer. While they did like beards, they where rather elvish in both lineage and stature:

That and they where of average height. The term dwarf was attributed to them due to their dealings with giants that resided in Vvardenfel when they settled there. Either giants or the Ehlnofey, the ancestors of men and mer, who where described as "titanic".

Not sure why i'm so aggravated over this, but i'm tired of dwarven (dwemer) race mods that don't do them justice. I just think they're cooler this way.

If you'd like more info check these out.

And get the word out on this; the Dwemer are a big part of the Elder Scrolls universe and they should be treated better. ; D

Yeah, we know, thank you very much for pointing something obvious for those who paid attention to TES lore at medium degree or more. So? What's this about? Do you want to force people to make mods related to anything called "a dwarf" or "a dwemer" like that? Or what was that for? Information? Like I said, those who care mostly already know. Those who don't... well, they don't.

It's just something that bugs me a little bit. That and i'm bored.

And you should note that this was directed toward those who care and don't know. You know, those who aren't in the Most.

My experience mostly shows different. But anyway. An info topic is always good, makes people thinking. Just too much aggression in the way the info is shown, if it may be called that way. No need to presume others to be ignorant.

Sarya behave...go bite someone in the bar.....

o_O Did you REALLY read what I posted? Irrelevant, though, as it is not related to the topic.

nnyftw, anyway, there's maybe something else that you missed. You see, ANY mod adding dwarves or dwemeri will not be really lore-friendly, because, whether right or wrong, in lore-friendly concept of TES the word "dwarf", as a race and not size, is attributed straitly and only to dwemeri... and they're gone. Meaning that kind of "gone" that only Bethesda may change in a lore-friendly way. I'm not exactly sure about individuals, but as a race... nope.

I'm just sick of fantasy cliches as far as the cultures expressed in them are concerned. Elves generally being tall, elegant, intelligent, and wise. Whilst dwarves are norse mole-men. TES has been out of the box since it's conception.

As far as biting in bars are concerned (what?), i think dez was trying to point out that your criticism was a bit forward.

Also, i agree, a race mod would be a ridiculous notion. But as even a simple quest could be an altogether good idea. Through a time machine, maybe, one would be able to meet Dwemerin their native lands. Or dungeons be added with dwarven specters near Cheydinhal or Chorral? They're plausible even without alien space bats.
