Erratum
Hi wastelanders, I'm trying to create a new perk with different effects on SPECIAL and abilities at daytime and nighttime. So I looked in the OWB Trait "Early Bird", I found the Trait and the 2 Spells for the different effects, but where are the conditions ?? There is no conditions in those trait and spells. So how I check what time it is ? Alternatively, if the conditions for this trait don't show up because of the GECK or something, how to create them ? There is too many is the list ! My future bipolar Courrier thanks you.
jazzisparis
Hi Erratum, Take the 'Night Person' perk as an example of how this can be done. This perk uses an actor effect, which applies all the bonuses according to the current time.
Erratum
Hi, thanks for your answer, I forgot about that perk and just checked it. Same as the other ones. The perk triggers a spell. This spell has two effects (incr. 2 stats). When I edit one of them, I see the effect, the target, but the "conditions" field is empty. My beginners logic tells me that the time should be checked in that field. If I try to add one condition, I find tons of functions like "GetCurrentTime" but then what :) What did I miss here ? jazzisparis
Are you positive you're looking at the right place? The perk applies an actor effect with the editor ID "PerkNightPerson". This actor effect has two effects - increased intelligence and increased perception. When you double-click either of them, you can clearly see that each has two conditions. Erratum
Yes, I'm looking at the right place, exactly where you discribe. I can double-click on "Increased Intelligence" and I see the effects on me, the "amplitude" (+2 int) but no conditions. That field is empty. I tried to create a new condition for an existing perk, then to create a brand new perk and add conditions. Result is the same, I create my condition, but when I click OK, it doesn't appear in the field. It's the same in the conditions field of the perk, the one in the spell and the one in the effect. My GECK doesn't show any condition anywhere !! So I think my GECK has a problem. I tried with the original Steam GECK, the GECK-PU, and GECK-NVSE (yes this one was useless). I can't find anyone who has the same problem... I modified the geck .ini to open more than one master, but that's the only thing I changed. Anyway, I will try tonight to delete all GECK references (in my games folder too) and download it again. And thanks for the help. If you have any idea, please tell me ! becauseofreasons
This is what I'm seeing. Is that not what you're seeing?
Erratum
I'm back to make that perk. I did what I wrote before, uninstalling GECK trough Steam, deleting all GECK and GECK-PU files in steam and mygames folders. Then reinstalling only GECK. So thanks becauseofreasons, now I know those conditions should be there. But they aren't... No conditions in any perks. It works ingame so it's just hidden or something. And when I add a new condition, it doesn't show. Google didn't help me. I also tried without the ENB as It mess up the render screen! I'm out of options. luthienanarion
It's possible that all of the fields in the Conditions block are collapsed over on the left side. Try expanding them to the right. This took me forever to diagnose back when I was trying to figure out the dialogue system...
