PS3 is freezing

My PS3 was working just fine this morning when I was Playing Fallout 3. Then about an hour or two later the game froze and I had to restart my system. Now when the PS3 starts up it says something about an update and then freezes. The only thing it does now is tries to read the disk. I've tried removing the disk and then restarting it and it just starts up, says it has an update, and then does nothing. I've had it on for the last two hours in case it is trying to get this update but it still is doing nothing except the usual animations and effects. Does anyone know why this is happening?

This sounds like a problem with your PS3. Try to find a forum that specializes in PS3 and ask there. Most of the members here use a PC which is totally different.

Try going into the recovery menu there could be a problem with your video setting or network setting, just reset the firmware back to the manufacturers defaults, see what happens. (Or you could, witch easier just hold the start up button on the ps3 for awhile), it'll go back to the default setting.

 

 

I had some issues once before way back and it helped me.
