SteffanC
Hi all. My first post on the forum. :) Im currently working on a player home mod for Skyrim. I have a basic story to go with the home, and a puzzle style mission to gain access to it. Although the story isn't perfect, im sure people here will set me on the right path. I've played the game most of the way through the main storyline, then went for a wander, so not 100% with what happens. Anyway... "Peldmoore Farm is a cover up for an even deeper secret. It was built many years ago, Just outside the Whiterun wall to the west, to hide something that was frowned upon by Skyrims citizens. The farm was also used as one of Skyrims major Alchemy supplies, and has a large apothecary garden which is home to some of the regions most common ingredients, and supplied a lot of alchemists accross Skyrim. There is a deeper secret though... After Numinex was banished to Dragonsreach, and Alduin sent back to Sovenguard, The Elderscrolls fortold of the return of Alduin in the future, and would destroy everything. In fear, a small cult formed to pray for the return of a Dovahkin. The cult was persecuted for their beliefs, and were thought to be insane, praying to some effergy of a dragon and the devines for some form of mythical saviour to be sent to permenantly banish dragons from Skyrim. Because of this, the cult went underground, and used Peldmoore Farm as a front to hide what they were really after. Although not much is known now about the truth, The blades supported the cult, and vowed to assist wherever they could. It's said that buried underneath the farm is the temple where they used to pray to the devines, and leave offerings for the 'Dragon God' so that they may be spared until the return of the Dragonborn." Thats the story behind the place anyway. I plan to leave a book with the info in it, and how to gain access to it, in the Riverwood Hideout somewhere. So far, i have most of the interior done. Im currently adding clutter and effects. The kitchen area and living hall are complete, Im currently working on the upstairs of the house which consists of an Alchemy and enchanting lab with storage for wands and scrolls etc. a main bedroom and a spare bedroom for a servent/follower. Also there is a library area. To the front of the house, there will be a basic garden with stable. To the rear will be a large garden with the alchemy stuff growing. I plan to have a pond with fish and dartwings aswell. Also, there will be a smelter, forge and tanning rack etc. Also, i plan to build a hidden temple underneath the farm. I have this planned out and should work perfectly. If anybody has any ideas for it, or wants to see something added, please let me know, If it fits and im capable of doing it, then i may follow through with it. Theres a few things im having issues with, should be simple enough to sort, but im still farely new to the creation kit, so will cross them bridges when i get to them. Will upload Screen shots so far when i figure out where they get stored! :P Opinions welcome!

Arcelas
I second this. I've never really added player homes to my games, but I just might when this is ready. Gorgeous!
SteffanC
I've played around with a few home mods. They just seem to be missing something for me. Like something just isn't quite right. The 'Build Your Own Home' seems to be the best i've used, although the others i've tried are all great aswell. They just seem to have too much or miss something. Is it the 'Dragonfalls' one? it looks great with all the waterfalls and stuff, but seems illogical with no proper water supply to the house, yet all the water falls from above the main room. Dont get me wrong. they are amazing mods, but little things like that bug me. Loads of random chests for random things all over irritates me too. The one im creating has a chest for everything, but not loads all over. So its well organized without being confusing. Everything has a home. Also, im making it so that most of the cluter can be picked up, so if you dont like something, you just pick it up, dump or sell it, then add your own stuff. Thankyou for the positive feedback people. :) Glad you like it!

SteffanC
Im getting frustrated now. I have a lot of shelves with things on that are static. So far so good. But im currently working on a few more shelves... Same process, doing the same as i did for my other working shelves, and things keep flying about and out of the collision box. I have no idea why its doing this, but its getting really annoying now. The items aren't touching or overlapping. The roots are in the earth/wood, an thats it. I have things on other shelves that are touching and have no problems... I just cant figure it out. All the scripts are in place - ''defaultblockactivation'' and ''defaultdisablehavokonload'' with both the properties boxes checked. The collision box is waaaaay big enough with nothing pertruding it. Im stumped! Any help anyone... please? This is what happens in game: http://i1357.photobucket.com/albums/q758/SteffanC/ScreenShot18_zps012d59a4.png
