Just a few ideas

About a month ago I begun learning to use Blender and basic game design, I've been considering learning to mod Skyrim, but I know basically nothing as of now on that subject, so I figured I would just write down my ideas here for the moment. I've admitted never really played Skyrim too intensively, if that's an appropriate term, I've generally enjoyed modding and customizing the game more than playing it, but as of late I've been playing, or more specifically trying to play, the game as intended. I'll also admit that I've never played the game start to finish, so forgive me if some of these ideas either already exist in game, wouldn't work with certain mechanics, or just can't be added in, I don't have a perfectly encyclopedic knowledge of the game.

I've always enjoyed open games, ones that don't follow a linear storyline, and Skyrim doesn't really have that.

 

Anyway these are a few ideas I've thought of for mods that, in my opinion, would make the game a bit more roleplay-centric, or truly open world, I suppose...

 

There's already been a few mods, like Character Creation Overhaul, and to an extent, Realm of Lorkhan, that attempt to reintroduce a class-system to the game, among other features present in earlier elder scrolls games, I could be wrong, as again, I've never fully played the game fully, but mods that reintroduce a class system thus far have been limited by preexisting game-mechanics. Maybe, and this is a big maybe as I doubt the game could support something like this, but perhaps it would be possible for a class system which blocks certain skill-trees, putting a stronger emphasis on that classes specific playstyle, rather than the "all-in-one" approach of the vanilla game. Character Creation Overhaul is probably the best option thus far, it doesn't completely remove certain skill-trees, but does make it so that certain skills increase slower, so honestly I'm fine with it for now, Wintersun is also a good roleplaying-addon, among other mods. It would be somewhat interesting to see a mod which adds a trait system similar to that in the fallout games though.

 

Another mod idea, one that I have yet to see though, is one which alters, and/or partially removes the main storyline so that the player-character isn't, or doesn't have to be, the dragonborn, Skyrim Unbound does this, but I've never really played it so I can't say too much. What would be appreciated is a mod which removes the opening quests, and makes it so that certain quests start automatically when entering certain areas, basically, just making the gameworld more open, so the player can go down a variety of different routes from the start. Or something like that.
