Deleted2547005User
This is the place I will use for updates on the progress of both the My Little Pony Race Mod and Follower Mod. Most of the information here will be related to the followers, but the race mod is the key part of the follower mod. I no longer will be uploading images detailing my work, instead, I will post the images here so people will be able to review the entire progress and discuss both mods openly without having to worry about keeping to the file thread's focus on only the mod. The only offering I have for you today is a few profiles for the ponies in the follower mod. If you have no idea who the pony is, just click on their name to see an image of them. This is Venus, and O.C. pony from my favorite pony tumblr (next to Molestia that is): Ask Twixie. Name - Astra/VenusRace/Sex - Alicorn, MareWeapon - Custom Assault Rifle - High rate of fire, lower power.Armor - Followers' Doctor Outfit. Perk - “Healer of Venus” - Astra is very generous and kindhearted. With her in your party, you are more likely to find meds and stimpaks on enemies, and receive a price cut on meds and stimpaks from vendors, but their worth is also cut. Perk Code Details - Perk will add a death leveled list to all NPCs that the player and Astra kill, and lower the value of stimpaks and all meds. Requires NVSE. Personality - Venus is caring and outgoing, always putting others' needs before her own. She is highly intelligent and constantly reassess herself to adjust to her surroundings and situation. History - Venus was born with a twin sister named Jupiter in northern Montana. Much of her childhood was wrought with torment at the hands of her sister. The torment came to a head when her father forced her to watch Jupiter murder their mother, after that night she escaped into the Northern Wastelands. She has spent most of her life traveling between the tribes in Utah and Western Wyoming, helping them learn basic medical skills. It was during this time she encountered Joshua Graham in Zion Canyon after he had been covered in pitch and lit ablaze by Caesar. He encouraged Venus to help the Followers of the Apocalypse in California. She took his advice and eventually she made her way to New Vegas at the Mormon Fort. Location - Venus lives in a small apartment building across from the Mormon Fort where she works on a daily basis. She keeps all of her equipment and supplies in her apartment, along with all of the trinkets and gifts she's accumulated from her travels in the West. Quest - “A Pectus pectoris pro Jupiter” (“A Heart for Jupiter”) - Venus has been wondering what became of her sister. She knows her father was killed by a rival crime lord, but Jupiter's fate was unknown to her. The quest starts with the player and Venus traveling to various people on the Strip and in Freeside. One of them - who will be at random - tells Venus that Jupiter is working in Caesar's employ as an assassin. She's not surprised by this but is still heart broken to hear her sister is a murderer for hire. Venus doesn't stop there, she wants to save her sister from the life she lives, and asks the player to come with her to convince Jupiter to stop her actions. When they make their way to Fortification Hill, they meet a Centurion who knows Jupiter's current assignment. The player can ask what Jupiter's assignment is, ask why the Legion allows a woman to work for the Legion - for which the answer is that Caesar views her as nothing more than an animal, a beast of burden, - or the player can turn Venus over to the Legion as a gift for Caesar. If the player isn't a total dick, Venus and the player can find Jupiter near the Mojave Outpost, readying herself to assassinate an NCR Officer. Venus attempts to reason with her but Jupiter doesn't care, only calling her weak and saying she will deal with her after the NCR Officer. The player can attempt to reason with Jupiter themselves, kill Venus for Jupiter, or attack her and subdue her by knocking her health down to 0. The first fails, the second ends the quest and Jupiter completes her mission, making the third option the only means to complete the quest succesfully. The screen fades to black and the three are at a small camp with Jupiter tied up. Venus tries again to convince her to change her ways. Jupiter still refuses, and it is up to the player to try and convince her. The player can pass a speech check of 90 to convince her, relay on information about Jupiter's childhood they learned from Venus, or the Player can simply put one between her eyes. If the latter is chosen, Venus leaves the Mojave, the other two convince Jupiter that she is nothing more than a tool, and she has been since she was a child. Depressed by this realization, Jupiter now wants to regain control over her life again. The player can tell her to turn herself into the authorities to face justice, or forget her Legion ties and live her life with her sister Venus. If the former is chosen, Venus objects, telling the player she wants to save her sister, not put her into the ground. At this point the player can back out of that choice or leave it up to Jupiter. She will agree with the player, at Venus' dismay. Venus tries to force the player to change her mind, but the player tells her that Jupiter did this of her own free will. Jupiter then tells the player that in the end she'll likely be executed, meaning she only has on fate. This prompts the player's ability to tell Jupiter that he can end her life without the trail and torture she'll likely receive at the hands of the nations she's offended. Venus objects once more, but Jupiter tells her that she wants to be killed quickly instead of be thrown to the wolves. At this point the player can back out and and instead take Jupiter to the Mojave Outpost where she'll be taken into custody and never seen again, or they can shot her in the head right there. In any event, Venus will hate the player forever, leaving the Mojave. If the player tells Venus to live her life with her sister, Jupiter is worried about the Legion finding her and bringing her back. The player can stage Jupiter's death by taking pictures of her 'dead' body at a staged crime scene, then the player goes to Jupiter's handler at Fortification Hill. If the player's Charisma is too low, the Centurion will not believe the photos of the 'evidence' and demand the player to explain themselves. The player can kill the Centurion, and in turn the entire population of Fortification Hill. Explain that Jupiter wants out, for which the Centurion says there is no way out but death, and tasks the player with killing Jupiter instead. They can refuse and be attacked by the Centurion or carry out his task. Or the player can try to persuade the Centurion to go to Venus' home where Jupiter is and do his dirty work himself like a real Legionary would with a speech check of 70. If the latter is chosen the player must hike it to Venus' home within a 18 hour time frame before the Centurion gets there to warn the two Alicorns that he is coming to setup a trap for him. If they fail, both will be dead when the player visits. If they succeed, the Centurion is killed once he enters the apartment, completing the quest. This is Drexter. His profile is very basis and not as fleshed out as Venus' because he was one of the first I did. During the staging process, his profile will be fleshed out. Drexter is an O.C. I created for the mod, but if you click on his name you can see an image that closely depicts what I have in my head for him. Name - DrexterRace/Sex - Changeling, StallionWeapon – Body part gun from Aces HighArmor - NCR Ranger Combat Armor - factionless, retextured. Perk - “The Horde” - You've befriended a Changeling and have become a member of the Horde. If Drexter is knocked out during combat, the Horde will appear to help out for the rest of the fight. However, your affiliation with a human eating species will affect your relationship with the factions of the Mojave. Perk Code Details - When Drexter is knocked out three changelings will appear to help out until the player is no longer in combat. They will travel back to their lair afterward. The Player Faction will be made enemies to the NCR, Legion, Followers, Goodsprings, Freeside, Westside, Primm, and Novac. Personality - Drexter is draconic and quiet. He is well skilled in all forms of combat, and takes sick pleasure in killing humans with his bare hands. Despite his barbaric nature, he is very intelligent and well versed in the history of humanity. History - Drexter is Chrysalis' only son. He has seven sisters, all of which have started their own hives all over the west and Midwest. As a male born to a queen, he is not allowed to breed with any queen or princess of other hives. Because of this, Drexter was regulated to the normal duties of those of the hive, procuring food and supplies. It was during this time he began studying anything he can get his hands on, medical journals, history books, and even comics. But because of his regulation imposed upon him by his mother, Drexter is introverted, keeping to himself the things he has learned and developed, making him a well sought after suitor and operative within the hive. Location - Drexter can be found in the dilapidated Vault 18, down the hallway from his mother. His room is remarkably clean compared to the rest of the changeling horde. He has a small makeshift Library for the reading material he has acquired on his travels throughout the Mojave. Quest - “Mother” - When the player finds the cavern leading to Vault 18, they are immediately stopped by a Changeling captain. At this time the player can decide to come willingly, unarmed, convince the captain with low karma he isn't a problem, or simply waste the entire population, men, women, and children. Once the player has made their decision, they are taken to Drexter's room, where they meet and speak on why the player is even there. Drexter lets the player know that his mother has gone missing, and he is charged with finding her. He is reluctant to look for his boorish mother, but if he doesn't he'll be held responsible for her disappearance. If the player is friendly, Drexter is willing to follow the player, only if they help him look for his mother. After traveling with him for several days, a random Changeling will appear to tell Drexter that they have spotted Chrysalis held captive at the NCR Embassy. Drexter and the player must break her out of the embassy somehow, Drexter changes his appearance to an NCR soldier when they reach the strip and the faction reactions are reset until the end of the quest. They can try to convince the NCR to release Chrysalis, but that is a worthless endeavor. They can shot their way out of the Embassy and ruin their reputation with the NCR, or the player can convince the guard to have sex with them. The player lures them into the bathroom where Drexter murders the guard and gives the clothes to the player. Drexter replaces the guard and the player gives Chrysalis the clothes. She takes the guards form - who is always a female - and she follows the player out of the strip and into the Mojave. Drexter catches up with the two and they return to the Changeling cavern. There, Chrysalis explains why she has been so hard on Drexter in his life, showing that she is a compassionate person, that a Queen's purpose in her life is to insure their hordes survival. She wishes she could let Drexter be a prince, but it would disrupt the order and stability in the hive. After the scene the quest ends, and Drexter thanks the player. Deleted2547005User
I was asked how the meshing is coming: this is what I said: I just finished the Colt and Stallions heads, leaving the Filly and Mare heads left to do. The heads that are completed have been UV mapped but not textured. Once the heads are done, the headparts need to be fitted to all of the head types. The Teeth and Tongue need to be adjusted to every head type, the eye sockets never moved, but changes depending on the gender and orbit shape. I have to cut the mouth off on all of the heads. Once that is done I need to modify the Type 3 body model to remove the female definition. I might use the Robert Body Model for the males, and if I do all I need to do is delete the male definition since it is on a separate mesh node. Once that is done, Then I need to retextured the body models, the heads and all of the parts. After that, then I work on the Mane and Tails of every pony. All they need is a new UV map and retextured, and the Tails need to be rigged. Then the wings need to be UV mapped, retextured, and rigged. Finally, the Accessories need to be UV mapped, retextured and rigged. Then the models can go off to the testers for testing and performance. During testing, I can create the missing Manes and Tails for the ponies that have no Gmod mesh. Here is what I've done lately: http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/Images/46073 Edited April 3, 2013 by Kuroitsune
bozzh
Uhm, I have a question. I tried to give Derpy the Derpy Vault clothes and she just became naked for some reason. Then I accidentally shot her and she became hostile, which lead me to kill her. I was hoping for another pony follower window to reappear but that never happened. What do I have to do? Any console commands to summon the pony options?
bozzh
Nevermind. Just delete the mod, start New Vegas, save, stop New Vegas and redownload.
