Can we avoid downloading Patch 1.1? (cyber engine tweaks crash)

I have substantially modded the Cyberpunk 2077 game in the last few weeks. Since we now know that Patch 1.1 breaks cyber engine tweaks (game crashes on load) on which all my essential downloaded recent mods rely, is there any way for me NOT to update to 1.1 and simply continue the game with hotfix 1.06 at present?

 

If so how? Can you stop the game updating if you play on Steam (PC)

You can turn off auto-updates or just run steam in offline mode. But why bother? CET was updated mere hours after the patch went live. Have a little patience. Go and watch a cat video on Youtube or something.

What version of the game do you have?

I'm personally holding off on updating until a few days after the "Big one" update is released. With the GOG version it's pretty easy to avoid updating. Just make sure you don't download any mods built for 1.1 or any .lua scripts built for the 1.1 supported version of CET.
