Skyrim Chaos Mod

The idea for the mod is taken from the famed Chaos Mod series for Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, 4, and 5. Basically, every 30 seconds, a random effect occurs. These effects can vary, with some being helpful, like taking you directly to the destination of a current quest, restoring health, or spawning useful items. But these effects could also be harmful, such as insta-killing the player for attacking, spawning difficult to kill enemies, or teleporting you to places far away from where you're supposed to be. I imagine this would be an SKSE mod and one that could make for some interesting playthroughs, especially for content creators. I could also see, if possible, Twitch integration to allow streamers to have their chats vote for what effects they want to occur, much like the GTA mods.

If you want to get good idea of what the mod is like, I have linked a playlist of videos of GTA 5 speedrunner DarkViperAU playing with the GTA 5 version of the mod in his Chaos!% playthrough.

I might have a go at make something similar for SE.

i could implement choosing for the effect to change periodically, after completing a quest, leveling up etc.. I don't actively watch Twitch so i might be ignorant in this case, but 30 seconds seems way too fast for the player to react or the audience to get much out of an effect. Unless it's not supposed to be about the player overcoming and dealing with the challenge, but just straight up unreasonable chaos.

The effect applies a passive Spell Effect at random. I could also add some custom effects to the list, but skyrim modding has alot of limitations.

This is a list of events we can use to trigger stuff: https://www.creationkit.com/index.php?title=Category:Events

I don't know if twitch integration is possible, i certainly couldn't do it. Twitch would require a custom program that could not only hook into skyrims process, but also have mod support.

ok i made a rudimentary version, which applies a spell randomly selected from a custom formlist when triggered. You can toggle it on and off with a scroll, which opens a menu. You will be able to select which triggers are currently active and what effects the RNG can pick from. but right now it's just fire and forget self cast spells (which are mostly buffs), triggered by the player receiving a magic effect.

Eg. getting hit by a fireball could trigger it, drinking a potion, casting heal etc.. additionally concentration spells like heal or an incoming flames reapply their effect every second.

Fighting a mage makes for a truly chaotic experience.

ill probably have time to get it uploaded on tuesday
