Custom NPCs wont be ghostly!

I'm trying to make some ghostly NPC, that can dish-out and receive damage, just visually ethereal. So I'm not ticking the "Is Ghost" option.

The thing is I don't want to use the "defaultGhostScript" because of the ash/goop piles it leaves behind when the NPC is slain. I've tried making a new script that is 100% identical to the default one as well as other Pre-Existing Ghost Scripts (minus the ashy goop piles), but in game the NPC is still visible, and they don't do the ghost explosion on death. The only thing the do is fade out when they die.

Any help?
