Locking terminals.

After resolving the linking issue, I fear I've run into another problem. Is there a way to relock a terminal after it's been hacked? I've been reading about the "Lock" function, but that says that it will change the difficulty of a terminal, but it won't relock it. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I think I've found a work-around, actually! Unfortunately it's created problems of its own :\. I'm sure if I'm unable to solve them on my own, you'll be seeing another post of mine asking about terminals! :P

Isn't "Key Required" one of the difficulties you can set when you add the script command to Lock it though?

Unless I remember wrong and it only counts "Very Easy, Easy, Average, Hard, and Very Hard" as "difficulties"

No, you can set it to impossible, which, unless I'm mistaken, makes the terminal "Locked Out". You can set a key to unlock it but I think you need to do that in the editor. Also, I think that even if you could, the terminal would still count as "unlocked" if it had been hacked previously. Thanks for the suggestion though! :)

Well, you can always get rid of the hacked terminal (Disable + MarkForDelete) and place a new, locked duplicate in his stead.

Yep, best way to do that. I've found that it works best if you call PlaceAtMe to get the new item, and then on the lines directly blow you call the disable and MarkForDelete on the current object. It results in a nearly seamless transition of objects.

Actually you can change the key using NVSE. GetOpenKey and SetOpenKey

That's the work-around I was talking about! :D
