Game crashes/freezes everytime I play, after like 10 minutes.

I am starting to experience a lot of CTD, pretty much everytime I play it will be for a few minutes before it crashes to desktop or it just freezes and I have to close the game via task manager.

 

I used to play skyrim last year with no problem, the only thing I changed is that now I have an SSD instead of a Velociraptor.

 

I am thinking that is a technical issue and not mod related, because nor BOSS or TES5edit are showing me any issues with the mods.

 

My basic specs are:

Win 7 64bit

8GB RAM

AMD 8120 8core 3.1GHz

Radeon 5850 1GB GDDR5

Firstly, I'm assuming that you've cleaned all your mods with TES5Edit. If not, that would be the first thing to do.

 

Secondly, it appears that you have at least one SkyProc mod in the wrong position in your load order (in this case ASIS). it might not be causing any issues, but it is worth repositioning it after everything else (except for any other SkyProc patch that you want to include ASIS in).

 

Thirdly, You also have several different enhanced blood texture compatibility patches, which I believe are redundant (i.e. you have separate Dawngaurd and Dragonborn patches, as well as a combined version). Again, it probably will be having no effect, but it can't hurt to remove redundant mods from your load order.

 

Are you using the latest version of Skyrim, SKSE, and all the mods you have installed?

 

Finally, Do you have papyrus debugging active? if so, can you post a copy of your debug log the next time your game crashes?

That video is for troubleshooting CTD at the logo screen caused by mod dependency issues. It won't help with random in-game CTDs.

I normally just use BOSS and let it fix the load order. I moved ASIS and the dependency right before Reproccer in the load order.

 

Yes I have the latest versions of Skyrim and SKSE and all the mods.

 

I also removed the 2 redundant blood textures patches.

 

I will test now and see what happens. I don't have papyrus debugging, where can I get it? just google it?

 

EDIT: I only clean mods with TES5edit when BOSS tells me they need cleaning, should I clean each one? That would take a while :(

Just clean the plugins flagged by BOSS as containing 'dirty edits' for now. Can you replace your load order with a BOSS log (with the messages)? Include the list of plugins not recognized by BOSS if one is generated. Enclose them in spoiler tags so they don't clutter the screen.

have you rebuilt ASIS and the ReProccer patches after removing those mods and re-ordering the mods?

 

Papyrus debugging is built into skyrim, you just have to activate in the ini files. a quick google search should tell you what you need to add to your ini file to enable debugging.

 

The BOSS log will only tell you about dirty edits if they have been reported to the BOSS team. as there is always a chance that a mod contains dirty edits that have not been reported (especially if the mod has been recently updated) you should always clean each mod using TES5Edit. sadly it will take a bit of time with the number of mods you have, but in the future, cleaning immediately after installing or updating a mod will cut down the amount of time you have to spend cleaning mods in bulk when problems arise.

Nothing says dirty anymore, it was a few but I cleaned them a long time ago today. I will look into that papyrus.

The game is still crashing, lasted maybe 15 mins this time. It happened as I was opening a door and It crashed as soon as the next area loaded.

 

I googled and I read somewhere that I needed to add this to the skyrim.ini file in my documents.

It created a log folder but it's empty.

I don't mind starting from scratch with a clean install, this time I won't get so many mods. How do I go about removing all the Mods? Some of them require extra steps, not just "remove" with NMM, so I woulnd't want to read up on each mod. Can I just uninstall skyrim the regular way, then delete everything left behind in any skyrim folder, and just reinstall everything again to a new folder?

You really need to have both of the ASIS files directly before the Reproccer, in order to ensure that it affects all the mods in your load order, including the unrecognised plugins.

 

Also, make sure you follow the notes the boss gives you regarding building you ASIS patch when you have SkyRe installed in order to reduce any issues or conflicts.
