Mod that adds basic clothing to dead bodies?

I take it you're using a naked mod of some sort. If you had a undergarment in their inventory they would wear it. It would just be a matter of modding that out. Be a easy mod that would take a long time to complete. But, very doable ...

You could also create a naked body that is wearing underwear. Then have two files for Skyrim\data\textures\actors\character\female\femalebody_1.dds ... A quick swap and everyone has on underwear.

@AyamePasse: Like that one. Too bad it's not done in CBBE. Myself I would have done that whole thing like the males. Nice stock default rags for all. 0 compatibility issues. No need for an interface.

We need a mod that lets you pour disintegrate body ointment on the dead to get rid of the evidence dragonborn style!

If compatibility with CBBE is your issue, Underpants would work for you. The reason it's a little complicated to set up for people is because it doesn't COME with undergarments, you have to download what you want, then use the mod's MCM to set it. It can be a confusing process, but it uses as many of whatever garments you want (even vanilla rags, if you prefer), in whatever body type you have said garments installed for. I myself use Divine Elegance's Witcher underwear for males, and a vanilla style for females in my preferred BodySlided shape.

Edit: Also, if you're at all familiar with nifs and such, you MIGHT be able to go into the linked mod's files and replace the used nif files with something else. As long as the mod actually specifies a nif, and the ones you replace them with are the same name and item slot, I would think it should work... I don't actually use Clothes for the Deceased, I use Underpants. But from the file contents, it looks like you might have to do some digging to find out the names of the files it uses.
