DoriSai
So, I've been trying to find a legitimate way to get either The Blade of Woe or a lookalike into DAO for my characters to use (among other things from Skyrim, but this is the one I want most). Currently there is no way that I can find, so I figured I'd need to build it from scratch. Well I found someone who has made in the past (and is willing to remake) a model for the Blade of Woe, and I've spoken to them and they'd be willing to provide the files for me to use in a mod (they've lost the original file, but they can make a new one easily they said). Now my question is, since I lack experience making mods in general (for DAO) and I am completely lost when it comes to various 3D programs... Is there anything that needs to be done to the model when creating it to add to DAO? If need be I will obtain permission to tweak the file (with likely plenty of time spent looking at how-to's and tutorials) so it can work, depending on what's needed. Or, what would be awesome (though I doubt): Once I obtain the model is it possible to just slap it into the toolkit while building the item mod itself?
