Horses stay put/ownership reset when owner dies

A two-part request; I wasn't able to find a mod that addresses either of the following issues:

Was wandering around in the wilds trying to find alchemy ingredients (yes, you can wiki that, I'm just lazy) when I rounded a corner, a random hunter on horseback startled me, and I beheaded him in self defense. Extreme, yes, but I'd just been ambushed by first a dragon, then vampires, then another dragon, then a troll, so I was kinda on edge. Anyway, seeing as how he wasn't going to need it I took his horse, but it still had a Stolen tag on it. So I would like a mod where if you cap a dude his horse loses the ownership tag.

I fixed the stolen tag with a console command (setownership), and now I am starting to regret it, because every time I hop off the horse to fight (I hate the horseback fighting setup, can't hit s***), that a**hole wanders off like he's in f***ing Disneyland, and ever since I got him over 60% of my Skyrim experience consists of running around the wilderness with Aura Whisper equipped trying to figure out where my attention-deficit horse has wandered off to this time. He seems bound and determined to explore more of the map by himself than I do. If it wasn't for the fact that quick-travel returns him to my side I'd have written him off as more trouble than he's worth.

tl;dr A mod to make the horse remain put unless attacked would be extremely helpful.

Before anything else, I'd like to say that your story, especially the way you told it, is quite hilarious (calling him your attention-deficit horse specifically had me laughing). Now on to the real topic....

I too find it stupid that a horse is still 'owned' by someone who died by a random troll/spider/bear/whatever attack in the wild. If the owner died in the woods, who the hell will recognize that it's HIS horse I'm riding? Simply setting the horse to Unowned when its owner died and then setting it to your horse upon mounting it shouldn't be that hard.

Thank you Silver. Glad to be of amusement.

The good news is that I found out the UFO mod has a way to train my horse to stay put. Now If I can get Lydia to stop ignoring my wait command, hopping on my horse herself, and the two of them trying to follow me as I sneak into the camp full of GIANTS, that would be nice.

Still need the ownership reset mod. There's got to be some way for the game to reset ownership of objects when their listed owner dies.

*Bump*

There is one mod on the nexus which did change how ownership worked called 'owned', but it is set to hidden by the author for some unknown reason (I'm sure it's a very dumb reason, can't think of a good reason why he/she might have found it necessary)... It is odd that so few people misses it too, cause no substitute has to my knowledge been made for it. I used to consider it an essential.

The most retarded thing about how vanilla game deals with ownership now in relation to horses and dead men, is when you take a dead man's horse to town and try to re-mount it there, everyone in the bloody town knows it is not your horse and will attack. It's so goddamn silly and can't be considered anything but a failed game mechanic!

Please, anybody, share if you know about mods that changes how death affects ownership of various things.
