Edit: Sorry for the multiple posts and very long log file, but I wanted to make sure I didn't miss any important or critical part of the log.

Those logs don't indicate any information on why you CTD on load, as far as I can tell. If you can load all the plugins in TES5Edit, then it's not a mod dependency issue, so we can eliminate that possibility. You might have to figure out which patch is causing the error by disabling them one by one and testing to see if you can load the game without CTD (probably the NPC patch), and redo the patch....I've had to do this once or twice (which is why I keep my compatibility patches modular), there's a pattern to why this happens (at least in my case) but I haven't yet figured out what the cause is, but it's something I've experienced with previous xxxEdit (FNVEdit, FO3Edit) made patches as well.

But before you do that, right click on your compatibility patches and select 'check errors...' to see if there are any error records.

Error log

[00:00] Above errors were found in :ACBS - Configuration
[00:00] Above errors were found in :MiddenVelehk "Velehk Sain" [NPC_:00075C7F]

I'm going to see if I can fix it. I don't think this is what caused the CTD, but I'm looking into this.

Yeah, you have to redo it. The few occasions I've encountered this problem, pouring through all the edited records didn't help, and the patch would crash the game on load even though the error scan produced nothing. It has something to do with removing several masters from the plugin.

I'm redoing the NPC patch. Hopefully it works.

By the way, today when I was playing I had another CTD.

I'm doing the main quest and I've just picked up Esbern in the Riften Ratway.

I left Riften through the south gate (to gather some nearby Canis Root) and I went back north around the walls of Riften. I heard a bear in the distance and then got the CTD.

Looking at this log, I think Convenient Horses somehow caused it.

You see, I was near the Riften stables and I use a different skin for my horse (and it has several of my items stored (dragon bones, ores, ingots, weapons, etc)).

Maybe loading my "customized" horse eventually caused the crash?

Do you have the autosave feature on? If so, I would think about disabling it as the save function in skyrim is buggy. The reason I ask is that your log shows about 4-5 saves withing a few seconds toward the end. At least disable the autosave when you travel/change cells.

I don't believe your custom horse caused the crash though. Someone may need to correct me on this but your last error involved 000984ab. That is the RiftenPlayersHorseRef. I believe this is the player horse that you can actually BUY not the one you own. However, if I'm wrong, then it was your horse.

The log showed you played for almost two hours. Without an updated load order, I am just assuming it is the same as the first page but with comp patches, I would almost say that you have a very stable game. Also, depending on how you've treated your save game and files, you may have to consider yourself lucky to go that long. Vanilla Skyrim can be played for hours but will probably crash over time. A modded Skyrim can be made just as stable, but there is far more error.

1. Well, actually, I use never use the quicksaves. I haven't turned the auto-save option off though. But I never load them; I only load manual created saves.

And I must admit, I use the manual save option (not quicksave) quite a bit, just in case I get a CTD, so I don't lose too much time played. (I may sometimes save a bit too much though)

My save files are now about 10 MB each. (I don't know if that's good or bad though)

When the folder which contains my save files (Mod Organizer -> Vahlok Se Kun -> Saves) gets really big (over 5 GB) I delete all unused save files.

But maybe it's even better to turn off quicksaves as well?

2. I remember buying a horse at the Riften Stables earlier in this playthrough. I don't know if that's relevant to "000984ab" though.

3.I keep a diary of which mods I have added and removed this playthrough and which save files have used the mods in question.

I try to change script heavy mods as little as possible, because of possible bloated and corrupt save files.

A part of my diary:

My current load order:

Also, every few hours, I reboot my PC, just in case.

I have no idea if all these extra precaution measures prevent CTDs though.
