Help making better textures

There are different techniques to create textures from scratch, but your question is more like:

"I don't know how to draw, can you teach me ?"

Even if you get the best teacher in the world, if you have no talent you can't become like Da Vinci.


That being said: i would recommend you to start learning programs like 'Photoshop' and 'Corel Draw'.

Gimp is an amateur program and in my opinion is completely useless when it come in creating high quaity textures, the things you can do with it are very limited.


* Learning to create correct textures requires a lot of study, something that the majority of modders completely lack of, as a result 90% of all texture mods are a complete mess...

wow that was the most asshole-ish way i've ever been told " you suck at everything you do so just stop."

 

i wasnt asking to become da vinci i was asking how to make a textures good enough to blend in to base skyrim.

 

And since you didnt answer my question at all im going to ignore your comment.

I apologize if it come up wrong !, i had no intention to offend you, it's a shame that you can't add emphasis in a written post, it wasn't directed at you personally but it was more as a "global fact" to make you understand that what you are asking can't be teach / guided in a written post, you need to study it and if you have talent you will make awesome textures.
